COLD RANGE Rule – Safety First!
All firearms must remain UNLOADED unless you’re on the firing line under an Range Officers supervision.
Keep firearms secured in a holster, bag, or cart.
For PCC, ensure the bolt is closed on a chamber flag.
Safe Area: Located between Bay 4 & 5 by the cargo containers. You can handle unloaded guns here, but no ammunition is allowed in this area.
Important: If you’re unfamiliar with the COLD RANGE rule, leave your firearms in your vehicle and check in at registration.
We’re here to help!
If an individual is thought to be in violation of the COLD RANGE rule, a match official will escort the individual to a safe area and direct the individual to unload and show clear. If the firearm is found to be loaded, the individual will be disqualified from the match and asked to leave the range.
Please leave your concealed carry gun in your vehicle. If you are a law enforcement officer, duly authorized to carry a loaded firearm, we ask that you proceed immediately to the registration table and ask for a match official for the express purpose of safely unloading the firearm to avoid disqualification.

A “2-Gun/3-gun match” is a shooting competition where participants use two (2) or three (3) different types of firearms – a pistol, a rifle, and a shotgun- to engage targets on a timed course, requiring them to quickly transition between each weapon while navigating obstacles and shooting from various positions, with the fastest time with all targets hit determining the winner; essentially testing both speed and accuracy across multiple firearm platforms
