GENERAL MATCH INFO
+ We are a Tier 4 IDPA Match with 12 stages, 200+ rounds, and equipment check.
+ All classes. All divisions.
+ The 2026 Illinois State IDPA Championship is an event by Midwest Shooting Competition, LLC. A 501(c)(7) not for profit organization.
+ 100% of the match profits go back to MSC for club and match improvements.
+ Our theme this year is "Road Trip". We are taking the classic American Road Trip and giving it an IDPA twist.
+ We want to thank Loke Uei Tan at Ancient Sky Games for developing and maintaining Practisim Designer, the VR game that we used to create the state diagrams.
ILLINOIS LAW
+ Unfortunately, Illinois has passed an "assault" weapon ban and a ban on rifle magazines over 10 rounds and handgun magazines over 15 rounds, BUT...
Illinois Residents:
+ Your grandfathered 16+ round magazines are still LEGAL for you to posses and use at gun ranges and our match. The 16+ round magazine(s) MUST be transported UNLOADED to and from the range.
+ Your grandfathered "assault" weapon is still LEGAL for you to posses and use at gun ranges and our match. The "assault" weapon MUST be transported UNLOADED and in a case to and from the range.
Non-Illinois Residents:
+ Non-Illinois residents MAY transport their "assault" weapons and 16+ round magazines in Illinois for use at ranges and our match.
+ The 16+ round magazine(s) MUST be transported UNLOADED to and from the range.
+ The "assault" weapon MUST be transported UNLOADED and in a case to and from the range.
Definitions:
+ "Assault weapons" includes "assault" rifles and "assault" pistols.
+ "Assault" rifles, for IDPA sake, are semi-automatic rifles that can accept a detachable magazines. So basically, all PCC's.
+ "Assault" pistols, for IDPA sake, are ANY pistols with a threaded barrel.
RANGE SPECIFIC RULES
+ Per Rule 2.13, M-1.6.7, and M-13.4.2: Striking any prop vehicle or metal door frames on any stage will result in a DQ from the match.
DEADLINES
+ Match refund deadline is 4/1/2026. NO refunds can be given after 4/1/2026.
+ Refunds will be in the amount of $130. This is due to credit card processing fees.
+ Division change deadline is 4/1/2026. After this date, email the Match Director for permission to change divisions.
MATCH BOOKS
+ Match books will ONLY be available electronically.
+ Match books will be released on the WEDNESDAY before the match.
+ Due to setup conditions at the range, there is no guarantee that what is shown in the match book will be the same as the physical stage.

AWARDS
+ PCC competitors will have their own Most Accurate award.
+ CO competitors will have their own Most Accurate award.
+ Iron sight competitors will have their own Most Accurate award.
+ All competitors will be able to win all other category awards.
+ The "High Couple" award is for married, engaged, or dating couples of any Division. Lowest combined score wins. BOTH competitors MUST select "Couple" as their only Category. BOTH competitors MUST list their shooting partners name on the registration form.
+ The "High Family" award is for any combination of: Mother, Father, Grandmother, Grandfather, Daughter, Son, Granddaughter, Grandson, Aunt, Uncle, Niece, Nephew, Brother, or Sister. Ex: a Grandfather and Granddaughter or Uncle and Nephew. Limit of 2 competitors per "Family" team. Mother/Son and Father/Daughter of the same family could be two separate teams. No Division limitations. Lowest combined score wins! BOTH competitors MUST select "Family" as their only category. BOTH competitors MUST list their shooting partners name on the registration form.
+ The "High Buddies" award is for you and your best buddy. We are limiting "Best Buddies" to no more than1 PCC competitor. Lowest combined score wins! BOTH competitors MUST select "Buddies" as their only category. BOTH competitors MUST list their shooting partners name on the registration form.
+ Sometimes competitors get bumps at other matches and that can affect what trophies we can hand out at our match. If we don't have a trophy for you, one will be made and shipped to you at the matches expense.
