RSO:
Service Pistol is a provincial series of matches at the ORA and part of the National Championship called NSCC (National Service Conditions Competition) that is shot at CFB Borden on 7/8 Sept 2026.
It is a series of matches that focus on precision and rapid-fire competitions simulating police or military scenarios. Using standard service handguns, shooters engage targets from 5m to 35m from various stances—standing, kneeling, sitting, and prone, emphasizing marksmanship under time pressure. There is a strong emphasis on marksmanship fundamentals, including matches shot with strong hand only, weak hand only, and transitions from strong hand to weak hand.
Civilian Competitors can expect to shoot along side Military, Law Enforcement and Nuclear SWAT. You can compete as an individual and as a team which can make it fun to do with friends.
NSCC style Service Pistol Shooting is a challenging and fun match series and teaches you to be accurate and precise under time pressure. Highly recommended style of pistol shooting and will make you a better pistol shooter, as well as it’s exciting to shoot the NSCC Nationals.
Participants will learn about NSCC course of fire, the rules on engagement and safety requirements, how to shoot the matches, as well as shoot as many matches as possible during this 2 day course.

50 km/h through centre of CFB Borden, 60 Km/h on Range Road, 15 Km/h on any range access road. Pass Marching Troops at a max of 15 km/h and less to be respectful.
- MATCH CANCELLATION BY MILITARY:
If the event is cancelled by the Military because they need the Range, then a full refund will be issued, if an alternate date does not suit you. This is not common and usually done well in advance due to CAF Range requirements.
- Because we shoot on a Military Range, Range Control can shut us down for a high Fire Index, Lightning or Storm Warning etc. This is out of our control, and there is no refund in that scenario. I have seen it happen only once in the last 10 years, but it’s part of shooting on a Military Range, and must be stated.
