We are using USPSA PCC rules regarding transport and handling of all firearms. Chamber Flags are mandatory for all long guns including rifles, carbines, PCCs, shotguns, and any other long gun. Chamber Flags are available from SLPSA for $3 at the match. Slings CANNOT be used for transport. Long guns must always have a Chamber Flag properly inserted under the bolt unless under the direction of an RO or in a Safety Area.
Long guns must transported in one of these ways:
-Carried muzzle-up in the vertical so that the muzzle is above everyone's head
-Carried in a case or bag that covers the long-gun from muzzle to trigger guard.
-Carried held firmly in a cart or wagon vertical or near vertical so that anyone within 3' is not covered by the muzzle.
Rifle racks will be available. Vehicles are treated as a big weapon case- do not muzzle people getting long guns in and out of your vehicle. Cases and bags must be placed on a stage within 3' of a side berm with the muzzle into the berm. Shooters can case and uncase long guns at the berm at any time and check sights, dots, and optics as long as the firearm is properly flagged and pointed directly at the berm.
