This isn't just a race; it's a test of the "Combat Effective Speed" philosophy.
The Burner Series is designed to push the boundaries of both mechanical execution and cognitive processing.
Although this is a single weapon system match primarily designed for Pistol and PCC, it also includes a shotgun division! The added shotgun division is perfect for 3 Gunners who want to practice fast target transitions while avoiding heavy reloads.
**Match Architecture:*** **9-Shot Max Per Stage:** Keeping the round count lean forces a focus on quality transitions and visual processing speed.
* **Hybrid Targetry:** Steel targets will comprise most target sets, utilizing selective paper targets to demand precision-under-pressure. No C zone penalties. Deltas are down 2 seconds.
* **Cognitive Friction:** Occasionally the use of Color-coded targets and no-shoot scenarios to ensure you aren't just shooting on "auto-pilot."
* **Spectrum of Performance:** Stages range from pure "pedal-to-the-metal" layouts which is the primary focus, to shooting from cover style scenarios where thinking is just as important as pulling the trigger.
Because this is primarily a Speed-Shoot style match - movement will often be limited but simple transitions of a few yards may be incorporated.
