OSA Shotgun Clinic - 28 June 2026
The OSA Shotgun Clinic is open to OSA members, OSA affiliate members and guests.
This day will train you in principles, marksmanship, handling, and producing effective shots downrange. Ideal foundation for speed/scenario shotgun competitors or predator defense.
You'll need a minimum of 75 rounds of 7 or 8 bird shot, 20 rounds 00 buck and 20 slug rounds. It is suggested to bring some Federal Law Enforcement/Self Defense 00 Buck with the Flite control wad and regular 00 buck to compare the difference in pattern. Low recoil slugs would also be more comfortable than 3" magnum. Ideal shotgun would be a 18" or 20" barreled pump or semi-auto, but bring what you have. You should also have some way to carry extra ammunition. A side saddle, shell belt or shell caddy would be perfect. It is recommended to bring a chamber plug or block, dummy rounds, sling, tools for adjusting sights (if your shotgun is so equipped), and any other items you think may be useful or you would like to try using for the course.
$50.00 for non-members. $25.00 off for OSA members and $25.00 off for OSA affiliate members.
Check in at the cabin between 0830 and 0900. Mandatory safety briefing starts at 0900. If you are not present for the safety briefing, you will not be able to participate. Electronic hearing protection and eye protection mandatory.
