Hernando Sportsman's Club – Action Rifle Night Match
Join us for an evening of challenging low-light rifle shooting at Hernando Sportsman's Club!
This month's Night Match will feature 4–5 dynamic rifle stages designed to test your marksmanship, movement, and decision-making under low-light conditions. Targets will range from point-blank to approximately 200 yards and may include a combination of steel and paper.
Schedule
- Front Gate Opens: 6:00 PM
- Registration & Sign-In: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM (No late registrations)
- Mandatory Safety Briefing: 8:00 PM
- Shooting Begins: At dark (approximately 8:45 PM)
Match Fee
- HSC Members: $15
- Non-Members: $20
Equipment
- Centerfire rifle
- Minimum 200 rounds recommended
- White light and/or night vision equipment permitted
- Chamber flags required whenever rifles are not in use
- Eye and ear protection mandatory
- A headlamp or flashlight is highly recommended for scoring, stage reset, and administrative tasks
Match Information
- 4–5 stages
- Target distances from contact range to approximately 200 yards
- Safe firearm handling is mandatory at all times
- All competitors must attend the mandatory safety briefing to participate
Ammunition Restrictions
No tracer, incendiary, armor-piercing, SS109/M855 green tip, steel-core, or similar penetrator ammunition.
Important Information
This is an intermediate to advanced action rifle match conducted under low-light conditions and is not intended for new shooters. Competitors should be comfortable safely operating their rifle, moving between shooting positions, clearing malfunctions, and following Range Officer commands without assistance.
Please arrive with a confirmed rifle zero. There will not be an opportunity to zero rifles prior to the match.
