Heartland Havoc 2
MATCH OVERVIEW
Heartland Havoc is a 5-part series solo sniper match. Competitors will face 8-10 stages across varied terrain, carrying all their gear while tackling both rifle and pistol engagements under time pressure. Expect physical tasks on stages, targets ranging from 100–1,000+ yards, and scenarios designed to test not just marksmanship, but cognitive capacity.
What to Expect
• 8-10 stages designed for both mental and physical stress.
• Rifle engagements 100–1,000 (most 150-700yds).
• Pistol engagements 0–100yds.
• Minimum 200 rounds rifle & 200 rounds pistol required.
• You carry it, you shoot it
Divisions:
OPEN (BOLT): No limitations to calibers, equipment, barrel length, electronics, gun weight, etc.
OPEN (GAS): No limitations to calibers, equipment, barrel length, electronics, gun weight, etc.
TACTICAL (BOLT): Calibers must be typical MIL/LEO calibers such as .308 and 6.5CM. No limitations to equipment, barrel length, electronics or gun weight.
TACTICAL (GAS): Caliber must be 5.56, barrels must be 18” and under, optic magnification must be 10x or less, no limitations to electronics or gun weight.
SERIES SCHEDULE
This is a 5-part series comprised of 4 matches and a series championship. Competitors can win individual matches, but the series championship will be an accumulation of points throughout the entire series.
1st – MAY 2, 2026 - 8 stages
2nd – JUNE 27, 2026 - 8 stages
3rd – AUGUST 1, 2026 - 8 stages
4th – SEPTEMBER 5, 2026 - 8 stages
5th – OCTOBER 10, 2026 - Championship - 10 stages
DETAILS
• All equipment (with the exception of clothing and food/water) that the competitor wants to use at any point in the competition must be carried for the duration of the competition.
• Max two tripods per shooter (No tripods for pistol shooting)
Rifle Requirements:
• Max muzzle velocity: 3200fps
• Ammo subject to chrono at any time
• All rifles must have a suitable sling for carrying hands-free.
Pistols:
• 9mm-.45.
• Pistol holsters must have some kind of retention.
Scoring: Scoring will be based off a points system with par times per stage. A matchbook will be given to all competitors during check-in; all questions will be answered during the match brief.
