Caro BRASS 2026 Mitten State Mayhem 5 AK Match

***NEW FOR 2026*** REGISTRATION WILL OPEN AT 12 P.M. ON MAY 30TH TO AK DIVISION (CAVEMAN & MODERN) SHOOTERS ONLY. REGISTRATION WILL THEN OPEN TO ALL DIVISIONS AT 6 P.M.
DUE TO THE ADVANCED NATURE OF THIS MATCH, IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR NEW OR NOVICE SHOOTERS. ALL MATCH SHOOTERS ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE PRIOR MULTIGUN/COMPETITIVE RIFLE MATCH SHOOTING EXPERIENCE.
ALL MATCH SHOOTERS ARE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW THE FOUR BASIC RULES OF FIREARM SAFETY AT ALL TIMES DURING THE MATCH.
DUE TO MATCH SIZE, SHOOTERS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED MORE THAN ONE ENTRY.
There will be six courses of fire. Sign in begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Clubhouse. Shooter Meeting starts at 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot in front of the Clubhouse. Shooting begins immediately following the Shooter Meeting.
Round count is approximately 250 rds. It never hurts to bring extra....
Divisions (all rifles/pistols must have a brace or stock)
All rifles must be chambered in a centerfire rifle round at least 5.45x39 or larger. NO PISTOL CALIBER CARBINES (PCCs) WILL BE PERMITTED AT THIS MATCH.
Freedom (ARs)
Anything goes, no optic restrictions, no mag restrictions = Open Division rules
Mutant (non-AKs)
Any non-AK chambered in 7.62x39/5.45x39 (Galil, Sig 556r, AR47, etc.) or Non-AR chambered in 5.56 (i.e. FS2000, Tavor, etc.). All SKS regardless of clip or mag fed are permitted in this division as well

Modern (AKs)
Red dot/magnifier/LPVO all permitted
“Modern” muzzle brakes permitted
Suppressors are ok
= TacOps Division rules
Caveman (AKs)
Irons only, no optics
“Modern” muzzle brakes permitted
Max 30 round magazine
Match scoring will follow the 2026 M3G Ruleset which has been adopted by BRASS for the 2026 season (see match docs).
There will be a charity pistol side stage TBD for $5 per run. Fastest time of the day will split pot 50/50 w/ BRASS. Depending on number of paid runs, may split pot with top 2-3 fastest times (will post more information closer to the match). The side stage will be open to shooters while they are shooting the stage in Bay 1 (same as last year).
NOTICE: BI-METAL JACKETED AMMO IS FINE TO USE FOR THE MATCH (Wolf, Tula, Red Army, etc.). HOWEVER, NO ARMOR PIERCING, "GREEN TIP," STEEL CORE, 7n6 OR OTHER AMMO THAT MAY DAMAGE AND/OR DESTROY STEEL TARGETS IS PERMITTED. ALL SHOOTERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWING WHAT AMMUNITION THAT THEY ARE RUNNING THROUGH THEIR RIFLES. USE OF RESTRICTED AMMUNITION RESULTING IN DAMAGE/DESCTRUCTION OF STEEL TARGETS WILL RESULT IN MATCH DQ AND PAYMENT IN FULL FOR ANY DAMAGED/DESTROYED TARGETS BEFORE THE SHOOTER LEAVES THE CLUB PROPERTY AT A COST OF $100 PER TARGET. PLEASE DOUBLECHECK THE AMMO THAT YOU ARE USING. IF YOU AREN'T SURE IF YOUR AMMO IS OK TO USE ON STEEL, PLEASE CONTACT US OR USE DIFFERENT AMMO.
