2026-05-06 Outlaw Practical Match at Phoenix Rod and Gun Club

This will be a 4 stage all paper practical match open to all handguns and rifles, See below.
$22 with a $7 discount for verified PRGC members.
Appendix Carry is ONLY authorized for Marksman and/or C Classification or above.
In addition to the normal divisions three new divisions have been added for this match:
RIFLE DIVISION - Follow all PCC rules with the exception a rifle may be used instead of a pcc. The rifle must be chambered in an intermediate cartridge, such as 223/556 or 7.62x39. So no AR10/308 based rounds.
RIMFIRE RIFLE - Any rimfire rifle. Rifles will follow all the PCC division rules and starting conditions.
RIMFIRE PISTOL - Pistols will use Carry optics division rules and the same start conditions as any other pistol division for the stage.
The Practical Division is always happy to have new shooters at our matches but it is important that you be familiar with the rules and procedures before you shoot your first match.
We will cover specific rules and answer questions at the new shooter’s briefing before the match but the following general rules will keep you in compliance when you first arrive:
A. Bring your unloaded gun to the match in a case or bag.
B. Handle your gun only at one of these two approved times:
1. When in the marked safety areas. These areas are where you transfer the gun from your bag or case to your holster at the start of the match, and where you return it to your bag or case when you are finished with the match.
2. When explicitly authorized by the RO when it is your turn to shoot a stage. You are allowed to handle your gun beginning with the “Make Ready “ command and ending with the “Range Is Clear” command.
C. Do not bring ammunition into the safety areas.
D. Guns are to be unloaded with no magazines in them at all times except for when you are the shooter and have been given the “Make Ready “ command. After the “Range Is Clear” command you are again subject to the unloaded gun requirement.
