RULES
Where possible, USPSA rules will be applied to this match.
o Range commands will be USPSA range commands.
o Safety violations that would result in a disqualification at a USPSA match will result in a disqualification at this
match.
There is no exhaustive set of rules for the Zombie Apocalypse match as there are with USPSA and IDPA matches, therefore, the rules are ultimately at the discretion of the match director and decisions of the match director are final; having said that, RO, match director, and shooter will work through any issues together to try and ensure that nothing unfair happens.
We have a time constraint on us that does not exist at typical USPSA or IDPA matches: we must be finished shooting by 9pm due to a local noise ordinance. This means we have to have a goal of finishing by 8:30pm each night so that we have some insurance in case of an unforeseen issue. Because of this, we will require you to efficiently work through the match, specifically the following:
o Know who you follow in the shooting order.
o When the shooter before you in the order is shooting you need to be gathering your gear and getting yourself to the start position; you need to be ready to take the “make ready” command as soon as the range officer has returned from being downrange with no delay.
o After you are done shooting and while your stage is being scored, gather your magazines from the stage, check your targets, and check your scores.
o When every other shooter finishes shooting, immediately after the range officer calls “range is clear”, you need to be down range with pasters in hand ready to paste targets as soon as they are scored.
 Restated, unless you are the next shooter or are the shooter who’s run is being scored/pasted, you MUST be down range pasting targets.
 IF A RANGE OFFICER SEES SOMEONE NOT PASTING AS EXPLAINED ABOVE, THIS MAY RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION.
o NO WALKTHROUGHS OF STAGES. You may read the Written Stage Brief and look at the stage from behind the rear-most fault line prior to shooting. Nobody on the squad should be downrange of the rear-most fault line until after the first shooter is finished and they are downrange to paste targets. At no point after arriving on a bay or while pasting targets should any shooter be inside the shooting area checking target presentations or lines of sight. This match is intended to be fun and force shooters to find targets on the clock.
FIREARMS
There will be three divisions at this match: Pistol, PCC, and Rifle
o Pistol: minimum caliber is 9mm
o Rifle: calibers .223/5.56 and above
o PCC: minimum caliber is 9mm
• No restrictions on accessories or firearm type as long as it is meets the caliber requirements.
• Silencers are permitted on firearms, however, if a silencer is used by a shooter and a shot timer fails to pick up the last shot of the stage run the shooter will be given a zero score for the stage; in other words, shooters can run silencers but we aren’t doing re-shoots because of them (because of our time constraints).
• Rifles must have muzzles pointed straight up or down (vertical) when away from the safe table unless bagged or in a cart and they must have a chamber flag installed: if your muzzle goes horizontal away from the safe table you will be disqualified.
SCORING
Scoring will be 5 points for head shots, 3 points for body shots, best 2 hits per target, penalties for misses as per USPSA rules, no FTE penalties; the entire round head cutout will count as a head shot; as for body shots, only alphas and charlies will score: deltas will count as misses.
o Edge hits to target heads will be scored as misses if, in the judgement of the RO, less than half of the bullet
hit the target.
