WTPS Concealed Carry Gun Match

May 30 @ 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Welcome to the WTPS Concealed Carry Gun Match!
This is an all paper target, outlaw hit factor match. No race rigs here folks. This is your chance to run your everyday carry gun in a 5 stage match from concealment.
Featuring 3 different divisions: Optics, Irons, and 8-Ball. This match also allows any centerfire caliber choice from .380 acp and up with no power factor requirements. If your daily carry is not covered under this caliber requirement please reach out to WTPS on Facebook to discuss options.
Optics division is for any firearm with a red dot sight attached as the primary sighting solution. No other equipment restrictions. No restrictions on mag capacity or size but must be concealed under apparel while standing at rest. (Because we know you aren’t carrying a G34 with a Magpul drum mag everyday)
Irons division is for any firearm with iron sights as its primary sighting solution. Irons guns may have a projected laser aiming device present such as crimson trace laser grips or laser equipped flashlights. No equipment restrictions except for the barring of red dot optics. No restrictions on mag capacity or size but must be concealed under apparel while standing at rest.
8-Ball is a low cap division. Firearms permitted in 8-Ball can hold no more than 8 rounds per cylinder or 8 rounds total in a semi auto with a full mag and loaded chamber (7+1). There are no equipment limitations for 8-Ball except the maximum round capacity but must be concealed under apparel while standing at rest.
Each stage will feature no more than 18 rounds required to finish a course of fire. There will be options for K shots that can neutralize targets in single shots and drop that minimum round count for those choosing accuracy over mag dumping. But of course mag dumping into targets while on the timer is still a welcome strategy if that’s your thing.
All competitors will draw and compete from concealment. Firearms, mags, and related carriers must be concealed fully by closed front clothing while standing at rest. (This isn’t IDPA or a bass tournament, fishing vests are not allowed for concealment)
Magazines may be carried in apparel pockets.
Both OWB and IWB holsters which fully cover the trigger and prevent activation are legal, but must be placed at or forward of the 3 or 9 o’clock position on the shooter’s belt line. Shoulder holsters, pocket holsters, or off body carry bags will not be permitted due to flagging and 180 violation concerns. Small of back carry is not allowed.
Shooters will have mandatory mag changes within the stages. Any stage with 7-12 rounds will require one mag change during the COF. Stages with 13-18 rounds will require 2 mag changes within the COF. Unless otherwise directed in a written stage brief, a reload may be performed at any time during the COF. A mag change is defined as dropping a magazine from the gun, inserting a new one, and then firing at least one shot. All required mag changes must be complete before last round fired or a procedural penalty per missed change will be assessed
