WCPS Monthly Steel Challenge - May 2, 2026
Weld County Practical Shooters will be hosting our monthly Steel Challenge match on Saturday May 2, 2026, at the Weld County Fish & Wildlife, High Plains Shooting Range, Eaton, CO.
A maximum of 104 competitors (8 squads of 13 on 8 SCSA stages) or 13 guns per squad will be allowed to register through Practiscore. No walk-up registrations or changes at the match. There is a two-gun limit (any combination of a Rimfire pistol, Rimfire rifle, Centerfire pistol, or PCC). The match fee is $20 for WCFW members and $25 for non-members and $5 more for a second gun. Please pay on Practiscore.

Stage setup starts at 7:00 AM.
Match check in starts at 9:00 AM in the pistol classroom.
New Shooters Class also starts at 9:00 AM at the pistol pavilion.
Shooters Meeting 9:45 AM at the pistol pavilion.
Shooting starts at 10:00 AM.
If you are a new shooter to USPSA/SCSA you must attend the new shooters class prior to shooting the match. Details on the program can be found here: http://www.ecouspsa.com/safety_program. Please email Pat Miller your contact information so we can plan accordingly for the New Shooters class.
If you must withdraw from the match, we will offer you a full refund (less credit card fees) up until 6:00 PM on the Friday before the match, when registration closes. Once registration is closed, no refunds or future match credits will be granted.
To maximize security, the High Plains Shooting Range now uses a rotating gate code number system for non-members to gain access to the range. The code for this match will be provided to each competitor during registration and again to all registered competitors via a Practiscore email once registration closes at 6:00 PM Friday, May 1, 2026.
The gate code number will be activated at 6:00 AM and deactivated at 10:30 AM Saturday morning. If you are shooting this match and are a non-member, enter the assigned match gate code number into the keypad at the front gate during the prescribed time period to open the gate for access.
