SoCal Long Range PIRU - HUNTER Style Precision Rifle Match - September 19th, 2026

SoCal Long Range PIRU - HUNTER Style Precision Rifle Match is designed to simulate hunting scenarios and increase your skills as a hunter. This match will have 6 stages taking place in multiple bays throughout the range. This is NOT an NRL Hunter points match.
There will be 3 Divisions:
Factory (unmodified production rifles weighing up to 12 lbs. maximum including scope and bipod).
Open Light (modified rifles up to 14 lbs. maximum including scope and bipod).
Open Heavy (any rifles over 14 lbs. including scope and bipod).
NO STEEL CORE AMMUNITION WILL BE ALLOWED
Each stage will have 1 to 3 Targets, and be blind stage where shooters have a time limit of 4 minutes to locate, range and engage targets using the 2-1 dead target scoring. This scoring system awards 2 points for a first-round hit and 1 point for a second-round hit (if you miss the first), with a maximum of 6 points per stage.
Maximum points will be 36, with one stage being a timed tie breaker.
Safety Requirements:
All long guns must have magazines out and a safety/chamber flag installed when not on the line.
All long guns must be bagged or cased when transported between your car and the staging area at the public range.
Check in will be at Bay 30
7:30 am - Check in.
8:00 am - Safety Brief and Zero if needed.
8:45 am - Match Orientation.
9:00 am - Match Starts.


Match fee: $50. Please bring cash as there is no cellular service in the canyon and digital payments are not an option.
If you are NOT a member of California-Tactical, PLEASE FILL OUT THE DIGITAL WAIVER AT THE PUBLIC RANGE PRIOR TO HEADING UP THE CANYON.
If for some reason you are not able to attend, please withdraw from the match and let me know as soon as possible.
