SEIPS Defensive Pistol May 13, 2026
SEIPS Weekly Defensive Pistol Match. Running 12 consecutive weeks. Single match per week held Wednesdays (May 6th thru July 22nd) weather permitting. Registration opens every Thursday 6am MST week before match. Cancelled matches will be announced via email thru practiciscore day of match between 12pm-1pm MST.
Match Day the range is cold (all firearms should be unloaded and clear before entering range). Please plan accordingly. Contact Match Director or member of SEIPS board if you mistakenly enter range hot.
Setup Time: 5pm MST (day of match)
Start Time: 6pm MST (Please check in and pay inside Quonset hut prior)

Refunds less Stripe fee (2.9% + $0.30) up to midnight prior to match. No refunds if you withdraw day of match or No Shows.
This is a "OUTLAW" match no direct affiliation with any governing shooting sports organizations. Some primary match goals are to get practice with your defensive carry pistol and introduction into the practical shooting sports in a safe fun environment.
Rules, Safety, scoring, and overall match will be primarily based off GPA (Galactic Pistol Alliance) and IDPA (international Defensive Pistol Association).
Divisions:
FSO (Full Size Optic Sight Pistol, Barrel length greater than 4.1 inches)
FSI (Full Size Iron Sight Pistol, Barrel length greater than 4.1 inches)
CPO (Compact Pistol Optic Sight, Barrel length 4.1 inches or less)
CPI (Compact Pistol Iron Sight, Barrel length 4.1 inches or less)
Safety/Scoring:
1. Finger in Trigger guard at any time while not engaging target. Disqualification from match.
2. Any safety violation infraction of SEIPS range or Practical Shooting Sports can result in match disqualification
3. Overlap Rule: When two targets overlap, the area of the "under" target covered by the "over" target is considered non-existent entire target even outside of perf.
4. IDPA target entire head box counts as down zero.
5. One mandatory reload required sometime between First and Last Shot per stage. No reload +6 second penalty
6. +0.5 seconds for every point in the -1 zone and +1.5 seconds for every point in the -3 zone. Scores in zero zone no penalty. Misses +5 seconds
End of Season Placement acknowledgement Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place all divisions, plus High overall Lady, High overall Senior 60+, and Overall Top Finisher based off best 6 match finishes.
Minimum requirements to participate in match. Holster, magazine pouch, 2 magazines (3 plus ideal), and pistol. 100 rounds of ammo should be enough for match.
Matches will consist of 5 Stages with a round count of 14-18 rounds per stage. Total average round count per match 75-80.
