PSGC Make Ready October 3rd 2026

The PSGC Make Ready match is a non-sanctioned outlaw match consisting of
run and gun stages combined with fundamentals to help make you ready for a
variety of match and/or self defense shooting styles. Field courses feature
running & gunning, shooting from cover, shooting around barricades, shooting at
moving targets, and shooting from multiple shooting areas and positions at
paper and steel targets. Fundamentals include Unloaded Starts, Magazine
Changes, Strong/Weak Hand, Bill Drills, Target Transitioning Drills, Near to Far,
Slice the Pie, Mozambique, Virginia Count, 5x5 Drills, Malfunctions, Stage
Planning, and more. Courses are designed for the person who wants to improve
their overall shooting skills, prepare for matches, and improve their overall gun
handling skills and safety. A “fun with fundamentals” style match. 9mm/.38 cal
minimum preferred, however reliable 22LR’s are allowed, but not encouraged.
Equipment: Pistol and at least 4 magazines. Stages can consist of round counts
up to 32 rounds. Rig with secure belt, Kydex holster, and at least two magazine
pouches for additional magazines. Three magazine pouches heavily
recommended, as magazines will be limited to 10 Rounds to help train
consistency of magazine changes. Shooting from concealment allowed,
however holster must be located behind 2:00 for right hand shooters and 10:00
for left hand shooters. Eye and ear protection mandatory for shooters and
spectators. Manual Safety, Integral Safety (striker fired), or De-Cocker must be
engaged prior to holstering for all loaded starts.
Magazine Capacity: 10 Rounds in any magazine. May Barney Load or place 11
rounds in the first mag on stages with Loaded Starts (11 total rounds). The 10
Round magazine capacity is in place to facilitate magazine changes in order to
help you improve your magazine change reliability and consistency, as well as
your stage planning skills.
Scoring: Time Plus Penalties. A Zone 0, C Zone 1 second, D Zone 2 seconds,
Miss 5 seconds, No Shoot 5 seconds, Procedural 5 seconds.
Beginners to the shooting sport match formats are welcome. Coaching by RO’s
and squad shooters is encouraged to help guide you through the course of fire
safely. Your focus will be on fundamentals and safety, not speed. Over time your
speed and scores will improve. Be sure to check the “Beginner" box when
selecting your “Class” on the registration form.
Divisions: Production, Single Stack, Revolver, Carry Optic, Limited, Limited
Optic, Open, PCC, Concealed Iron, Concealed Optic, 22LR Pistol Iron, 22LR
Pistol Optic, 22LR Rifle Iron, and 22LR Rifle Optic.
Classes: Beginner (first 2-3 matches - coaching encouraged), Novice,
Intermediate, Advanced, Master, and Grand Master. If you place Top 3 in any
class, you move up to the next class.
