OSA Speed Challenge Pistol Practice - 04 October 2026

Five steel plates, one fast pistol shooter. Rinse and repeat.
This practice is open to OSA members, OSA affiliate members and guests who are qualified. You can be qualified by having taken the OSA Operational Pistol Clinic and Holster Clinic, by participating in previous Speed Challenge practices, by having competed in the Speed Challenge matches, or by being qualified in IPSC or IDPA.
You are required to wear a long-sleeved high-collar shirt, slacks (not shorts), a ballcap or brimmed hat, and close-toed shoes. Working electronic ear defenders and safety glasses are mandatory. Bring your belt and holster.
Also, make sure you bring adequate food and fluid for the day, as well as insect repellent and sunscreen.
This practice day will focus on workups for the matches. You can download the match descriptions and layouts at at www.osacanada.ca at the bottom of the Events page.
Ammunition must be commercial or full-power handloads, and must be proven safe in your pistol; you'll need about 250 rounds.
$75.00 for non-members. $25.00 off for OSA members and OSA affiliate members. If you're under 18, register as a junior. OSA Volunteers who want to claim their discount on this event, please email me.
Check in at the 100m range at 0830. You may be asked for proof of club membership. Mandatory safety briefing starts at 0845. If you are not present for the safety briefing, you will not be able to participate.
If you haven't been to an OSA event before, email [email protected] for detailed instructions. You must have shooter's liability insurance to enter our facility; i.e., you must be a member of the CSSA, CCFR, NFA, or similar. You must be fluent in English to participate in any OSA event.
