OSA Applied Ballistics Workshop - 17 October 2026

This event is ideal for those who want to learn to use their Applied Ballistics software (and other ballistics solvers like Revic).
The Applied Ballistics Workshop is open to OSA members, OSA affiliate members and guests.
You'll need to be qualified and experienced in shooting the rifle you bring. For example, you may have taken the MilCun Enhanced or Advanced rifle courses, or you may be an active competitor in M-Class. (If you are neither of these, you may petition for equivalency by emailing [email protected].)
You need to have the Applied Ballistics app (or other ballistics solver) loaded on your smart phone or Kestral.
Bring ammo that's proven in that rifle to at least 600 meters. About 50-75 rounds should be lots, but bring more just in case.
You'll need your usual range equipment. You'll need ear and eye protection. You'll need a long-sleeved shirt, slacks, closed-toe shoes, and a ballcap or brimmed hat. Also, make sure you bring adequate food and fluid for the day, as well as insect repellent and sunscreen.
We'll meet at 0830 for 0900 at the cabin, where we'll have an Applied Ballistics training and then have lunch. We'll confirm zeroes at 100m and then go out to the 1000m range to test our ability to use the app.

The instructor will be Clint Harwood, an outstanding ELR shooter and a self-admitted techno-nerd. I have first-hand experience with his ability to explain very technical things to folks like me who are definitely not nerds... and he is very good at it.
Price is $75.00 with discounts for OSA members and OSA affiliate members. If you're under 18, register as a junior.
If you haven't been to an OSA event before, email [email protected] for detailed instructions. You must have shooter's liability insurance to enter our facility; i.e., you must be a member of the CSSA, CCFR, NFA, or similar. You must be fluent in English to participate in any OSA event.
