Oregon TCGC 1911 .45 and PUMP Shotty Classic - August 1 2026
Welcome to Tri-County Gun Club
We're excited to have you join us at TCGC for our 1911 .45 ACP / Pump Shotgun Classic.
The 1911 .45 ACP / Pump Shotgun Classic celebrates two of America's most iconic fighting firearms: the .45 ACP 1911 pistol and the 12-gauge pump shotgun. Competitors will face a series of scenario-based shooting challenges designed to test marksmanship, weapon handling, movement, and problem-solving while preserving the classic character of these historic firearms.
Due to the complexity of this match, which includes movement on the Action Pistol Range and the use of both pistol and shotgun, new shooters will not be permitted to participate. This event is intended for competitors who have previously participated in an organized action matches at Tri-County Gun Club and are familiar with TCGC range commands, safety procedures, and match operations.

This match is intended to be a fun, challenging, and practical shooting event that emphasizes safe gun handling, sportsmanship, and proficiency with two of the most respected firearm platforms ever developed.

Please respect all range rules at all times.
TCGC High Muzzle Rule
No muzzles of loaded firearms above the berm.
A firearm is considered loaded when:
A round is chambered, or
A magazine containing ammunition is inserted and seated in the firearm.
We recognize that the TCGC High Muzzle Rule can be challenging, particularly for shooters who train for real-world, defensive, or duty applications. Competitors are expected to always maintain muzzle awareness and comply with all TCGC safety requirements.
Competitor Eligibility
This match is intended for experienced action shooting competitors.
Competitors must have previously participated in a TCGC action shooting event or be approved by the Match Director prior to registration.
This match is not intended for first-time action shooting competitors.

Maximum stage round count: Up to 32 rounds per stage
IDPA cardboard targets and steel
IDPA Time Plus scoring

1911 Equipment
General Requirements
All competitors must use a safe and serviceable single-stack 1911-pattern pistol.
• Chambering: .45 ACP only
• Meet a minimum power factor of 165.
• Government (5-inch) and Commander (4.25-inch) models only
• Government (5-inch) models must utilize the original barrel and barrel bushing configuration unless
competing in the Custom division.
• Bull barrels are permitted only on Commander (4.25-inch) models, and the Custom division.
• Single-stack magazines only.
• Double-stack/2011-style pistols are prohibited.
• No semi-auto shotguns or box fed shotguns - You know who you are!
The Match Director reserves the right to determine the appropriate division for any firearm not specifically addressed by these rules. The Match Director's decision is final.

Vintage - The intent of this division is to recognize traditional Government Model and military-style 1911 pistols.
Modern -The intent of this division is to recognize a modernized 1911 service pistols.
Custom - The intent of this division is to allow custom-built and competition-oriented 1911 pistols.
