Midwest Handgun Law Enforcement Classic
The Midwest Handgun Law Enforcement Classic is a premier handgun hit-factor competition designed to bring together Law Enforcement, Military, and Civilian shooters from across the Midwest for a challenging test of speed, accuracy, decision-making, and practical handgun skills.
This match is open to shooters of all skill levels and backgrounds and provides a professional and competitive environment where participants can measure their abilities against some of the region's top performers.
The goal of this event is to bring together the defensive, duty, and competitive shooting communities to promote safe firearms handling, practical handgun proficiency, and a culture of continual improvement through competition.

Competitors should expect a challenging mix of speed, accuracy, movement, problem-solving, and practical shooting skills throughout all eight stages.
Divisions
Law Enforcement Division
Open to active and retired Law Enforcement personnel.
Duty-style equipment is encouraged.
A Level II retention holster is required to compete in the Law Enforcement Division.
Competitors utilizing non-duty holsters or competition-style equipment will be moved to the Civilian Division.
Military Division
Open to active-duty, reserve, and retired military personnel.
Duty-style equipment is encouraged.
A Level II retention holster is required to compete in the Military Division.
Competitors utilizing non-duty holsters or competition-style equipment will be moved to the Civilian Division.
Civilian Division
Open to all civilian competitors.
Competition, concealment, and practical carry holsters are permitted, provided they meet match safety requirements.
Equipment Classes
Each division will be broken into the following categories:
Iron Sights
Any handgun utilizing traditional iron sights only.
Optics
Handguns equipped with a slide-mounted red dot optic.
Frame-mounted optics are not permitted.
Firearm Rules
Striker-fired pistols are permitted.
Hammer-fired pistols are permitted.
Compensators are NOT permitted.
Ported barrels are NOT permitted.
Ported Slides are Permitted
No Open-style handguns or race-gun configurations.
All handgun manufacturers and models are welcome.
Firearms must be safe, serviceable, and comply with all match safety requirements.
Department Championship
In addition to the individual competition, the Midwest Handgun Law Enforcement Classic will feature a Department Championship for participating Law Enforcement agencies and Military units.
Departments or units wishing to compete for the Department Championship must have a minimum of three (3) shooters registered from the same agency or unit. Team standings will be calculated from the combined performance of participating members.
To be eligible, competitors must identify their agency or unit affiliation during registration. This information is critical for accurate team tracking and Department Championship scoring.

Purpose
The Midwest Handgun Law Enforcement Classic was built to provide a competitive environment that closely reflects the equipment and skills used by today's Law Enforcement officers, Military personnel, and responsibly armed citizens. This is a match where practical equipment, sound fundamentals, and efficient gun handling will separate the top performers.
Whether you're a patrol officer, SWAT operator, military service member, competitive shooter, or responsibly armed citizen, this event offers an opportunity to test your skills against some of the Midwest's best handgun shooters while building relationships across the shooting community.
