LUNAR DOJO Range Night with Moth Ridge Development Group #109
This Event is NOT A COMPETITION – THIS IS AN OPEN RANGE NIGHT – No scores will be recorded!!
Season 3 of MRDG’s night shoots is here! Moth Ridge Range Nights allow shooters to use white light and night vision devices on some of the Peacemaker’s world class ranges in an unstructured, open training format. We allow participants to dictate their goals for the night, from zeroing new setups to running dynamic drills and shooting medium to long range distances. Enjoy access to 10+ private tactical bays AND ‘jungle runs’ equipped with both steel targets and paper target stands (paper/cardboard available for purchase, or bring your own), and an unknown distance range with multiple steel targets out to 300 yards. We have multiple features available to set up any drills you may want to run. Spots are limited, so sign up today!
Night Shoots will enforce stringent requirements on participants. Please review the following:
– ALL Shooters must check-in at the shop located at 1624 Brannons Ford Rd, Gerrardstown, WV 25420
– Fresh waivers are required for all participants, even if one is on file
– Event begins at the designated time with a 30 minute window for check-in
– Gates will be locked after the 30 minute check-in window; those arriving later will not be permitted to attend
– All participants MUST have a handheld white light source on them
– Ear and Eye protection is required at all times
– Minimum of two (2) Strobes/chemlights/IFF must be affixed to front & back of each shooter and remain visible for the entire duration of the session
– NO bi-metal, steel core, LAP, green tip, or tracer ammunition
– NO Full-Auto fire
– NO rifles calibers over .308 permitted
– If using White Light:
– MUST be weapon mounted for Rifles
– Can be weapon mounted or handheld for pistols
– If using Night Vision (aka NODs, NVGs, etc):
– Must be analog/Image Intensifier based
– NO DIGITAL NODs*
– For competitive environments, NODs must be worn on the head and mounted to either a helmet or cranial harness
– All participants including those who are spectating must complete and sign a liability waiver at the club house prior to being directed to the range. This includes current members.
– NO YOUTH under the age of 16 will be permitted as shooters or spectators, though spectators are welcome.
* Due to the inherent latency of Digital NODs (including thermals), these will not be allowed as a PRIMARY means of aiming/navigating in No-light conditions. Digital NODs may be used for photography/filming purposes. Thermal optics must be paired with analog/image intensifier based NODs to be considered acceptable for no-light applications.
