LCSA 2 Gun October Action Shooting
Welcome to the Lawrence County Sportsmen’s Association (LCSA) Weekday 2 Gun Action Shooting Match!

This is a three stage two gun match each stage will consists of 6 strings. Three strings will be shot with pistol, three strings will be shot with rifle. All guns shall be bagged or holstered unless being utilized two guns shall not be made ready at the same time. Stage time will be the best of 5 out of 6 strings shot. All guns will be shot from the low ready start position. Some stages may require movement while on the clock. Stages will also vary in design while utilizing plate racks, steel targets, falling steel all with varying shots required per string.
The divisions are:
Centerfire - The competitor must shoot a centerfire pistol and a PCC any combination of iron or optic.
Rimfire - The competitor must shoot a rimfire pistol and a rimfire rifle any combination of iron or optic.
Freestyle -The competitor may shoot any combination of pistol/rifle, centerfire/rimfire any combination of iron or optic.

Match Schedule:
5:30pm Match
Registration: Opens at 4:45pm and closes at 5:15pm at the indoor range.
Mandatory Shooters Meeting: 5:15pm
Hammer Down: Match begins promptly at 5:30pm

Fees:
$15 each registration
Each registration includes one pistol and one rifle
Planning to shoot in more than one division? Be sure to create a separate entry for each gun.
Walk-ons are welcome if open slots are available, however Practiscore pre-registration and squad selection is appreciated and preferred.

What to Bring:
A minimum of 100 rounds per gun/division. (We recommend extra to cover misses.)
4 magazines per gun, especially if using low-capacity mags (e.g., 10-round).
Eye and hearing protection for all shooters and spectators.

Match Location:
We will be shooting in the upper pistol bays next to the indoor pistol range. Follow the entry road through the gates go past the main clubhouse which will be the first building on the left, drive past the main clubhouse and past 2 maintenance buildings until you arrive at the next building which is the indoor pistol range.

COLD RANGE Rule – Safety First!
All firearms must remain UNLOADED unless you're on the firing line under an Range Officers supervision.
Keep firearms secured in a holster, bag, or cart.
For rimfire rifles and PCC, ensure the bolt is closed on a chamber flag.
Safe Area: Located by Bay 1 & 5 and the indoor range. You can handle unloaded guns here, but no ammunition is allowed in this area.
Important: If you're unfamiliar with the COLD RANGE rule, leave your firearms in your vehicle and check in at registration.
We're here to help!
If an individual is thought to be in violation of the COLD RANGE rule, a match official will escort the individual to a safe area and direct the individual to unload and show clear. If the firearm is found to be loaded, the individual will be disqualified from the match and asked to leave the range.
Please leave your concealed carry gun in your vehicle. If you are a law enforcement officer, duly authorized to carry a loaded firearm, we ask that you proceed immediately to the registration table and ask for a match official for the express purpose of safely unloading the firearm to avoid disqualification.

New shooters
Please arrive no later than registration opening time for the match and let us know at the registration table if you're a new shooter. This will allow us to have a new shooter meeting without delaying the start of the match.
Consider bringing more than 100 rounds for each gun/division per match. It typically takes 75-90 rounds per gun with no misses to complete 3 stages. All stages consist of 6 strings (3 pistol strings, 3 rifle strings) of fire on an unknown amount of targets. If shooting with a low-capacity magazine (example 10 rounds), it is important to have at least 4 magazines per gun to help avoid match delays caused by having to reload magazines while in the shooter’s box.

New Shooters Checklist:
Arrive when registration opens (4:45pm).
Bring extra ammo (more than 100 rounds per gun recommended).
Pay special attention to the COLD RANGE rules.
Familiarize yourself with Steel Challenge rules as we will follow these as a base line.
