John A Halter 2026 Collegiate Steel Challenge Midwest Conference Invitational – Presented by Hillsdale College will be a classic Steel Challenge Match 7 Steel Challenge Stages. Public competitors welcome to shoot the match but will not be eligible for Collegiate Awards.

– Minimum Round Count: 175
Awarded Collegiate Divisions:
– Team Scoring: A team score will consist of the top 2 centerfire scores from a Collegiate Team. To avoid an awards sweep of team events by a single school, each college team will only be allowed one team score per division. The following divisions will be awarded: 
– Centerfire Collegiate Optic Male & Female – HOA, 2nd & 3rd
– Centerfire Collegiate Iron Male & Female – HOA, 2nd & 3rd
– Centerfire Collegiate Optic & Iron Team – 1st, 2nd, & 3rd
– Please select the Collegiate Optics or College Irons division during registration.
***Match Format***
– Registration Open: 8:30 AM
– Registration Closes: 9:30 AM
– Shooters Meeting: 9:45 AM
– Range Hot: 10:00 – 12:00 pm
– Lunch (subject to match progression): 12:00-1:00 pm
– Range Hot: 1:00 – 3:00 pm
– Collegiate Awards: 30 min after last shot fired
Match Fee:
– $0 Collegiate Competitors & Coaches
– $30 Member
– $45 Non-member
– Boxed lunch included. (Lunch will be from 12:30-1:30 subject to match progression) If you have food allergies please provide your own lunch.
