GMSA Tactical Pistol December 2026 - 6th Annual JMB Tribute Match

December 19 @ 2:00 pm - 7:30 pm

This match is OPEN to the Public you do not have to be a GMSA member to shoot.
IF YOU PLAN ON SHOOTING TWO GUNS, YOU NEED TO REGISTER AND SQUAD YOURSELF TWICE!
ONCE FOR EACH GUN.

CENTERFIRE ONLY - no rimfire
To celebrate John Moses Browning's birthday on January 23rd, we will be holding a JMB themed Tactical Pistol Match.
Round Count: 100 rounds Your individual mileage may vary but we do however recommend that you bring 100-175 rounds, just in case you need to reshoot a stage.
Pistol only - no PCC - no revolvers (JMB didn't mess around with those)
All magazines will be limited to 8 rounds maximum.
This match will have lots of steel targets, a few cardboard and the stages will be designed for 8-round magazine capacity
Match Fee: $15 for all.
Hot dog lunch will be served immediately after the match.
During lunch, scores will be tallied and a PRIZE TABLE will be available to the shooters who stay for the lunch.
YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE PRIZES!
SHOOTERS WHO LEAVE EARLY FOREFIT PRIZES.
There will be three classes of shooters:
1 - JMB Military - US PROPERTY MARKED
2 - JMB designed class
3 - non-JMB class
Shooters ARE ALLOWED to bring two pistols and shoot on two score sheets. YOU MUST REGISTER TWICE, ONCE FOR EACH GUN
Second pistol is only $10

JMB Military Class - This would be an original USGI M1911 or M1911A1, chambered in 45 ACP and made by any of the WWI or WWII manufacturers and marked US Property, Property US, etc. (upgrades/enhancements ok but must have original USGI frame)
JMB designed class - Any pistol designed by John Browning, can be made by any manufacturer, modern or antique but must be chambered in the original model, matching the original calibers as listed below:
FN M1899/M1900 (.32 ACP)
Colt Model 1900 (.38 ACP)
Colt Model 1902 (.38 ACP)
Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammer (.38 ACP)
FN Model 1903 (9mm Browning Long)
Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless (.32 ACP)
FN Model 1906 Vest Pocket (.25 ACP)
Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket (.25 ACP)
Colt Model 1908 Pocket Hammerless (.380 ACP)
FN Model 1910 (.32 ACP, .380 ACP)
U.S. M1911 pistol (.45 ACP)
Commercial 1911's (.45ACP, .38 ACP, 38 Super or 9mm)
FN model 1922 (.32 ACP) and (.380 ACP)
Browning Hi-Power BHP (9mm Parabellum or 40 S&W)
FN High Power
Girsan MC P35
Springfield Armory SA-35
*Note, the JMB designed class DOES NOT include:
-Race-guns with add-on's like long slides, ported, compensated or extended barrels.
-Evolutions, clones or copies of the basic 1911.
This exclusion list Includes evolutions from the basic JMB design. Modified designs that have double action triggers, double stack mag wells and clones that look like, but are not 1911's

Guns that are excluded from the JMB design class may still be used but should be registered in the Non-JMB designed class.(except the M2)
NON-JMB designed class - All other centerfire pistols normally allowed in a GMSA Tactical Pistol Match and not designed by John Browning. Glocks, Sigs, CZ, etc.
Magazine capacity limited to 8-rounds maximum on all guns
PLEASE BRING EXACT CHANGE! Match fees will be collected by each squad's Safety Officer. The Safety Officer IS NOT responsible for making change. Seriously - please bring exact change for your shoot fee(s). If you show up with a $100 bill, please be prepared to donate your change to the club, or not shoot because you did not have exact change.
NO EXCUSES, NO EXCEPTIONS PLEASE!
