EL MEJOR TEAM MATCH
ATTENTION SHOOTERS:
ELRSO would like to invite everyone to the 1st Annual EL MEJOR “The Best” Team match at the Fantastic 6000 acre SellMark Ranch in Teague,Tx on October 10-11th 2026. This will be a Light Class Team’s match with both of the shooters combined score used to determine the winner.
There will be 2 relays one each day with 8 targets total for the match, one being a cold bore with one shot each day and 5 shots at each of the 6 targets for a total of 32 rounds for the match per shooter. Day one relay will be one shot at a cold bore target and 3 more targets at 5 shots each. Day two will be the same.
Distances will be from 1000-2300 yds.
We will draw for shooting positions each day with one member of the team doing the drawing and what ever position he draws the teammate will shoot also. Half of the team will shoot first round and the second member will shoot the second and how you decide who goes first is a team decision. This will be the same for the 2nd relay on the second day.
The first place team will win a custom buckle each from Champions Choice Silversmith and $500 cash each. Top scoring shooter will win a custom EL MEJOR mug from Champion’s Choice Silversmith and $500. 2nd-5th teams will win custom medals.
The ranch has some lodging for shooters and camping is allowed. There is also a fantastic bass lake that you can fish for a day price and nighttime thermal hog hunts are available for a fee.
There are 5 hotels in Fairfield with restaurants in town for those that need lodging - they are only 10 min from the ranch.
This is a beautiful venue and we can’t wait to hold this match and look forward to seeing everyone there.
Each member of the team has to signup individually and list your teammate when you register.
The weapon configuration fall under the Light Class rules in the ELR Foundation.
So go put together the baddest team you can from any walk in the shooting sports and come and prove yourself and let’s see who is the best “EL MEJOR” in Light Class ELR!!!
The match will be limited to 30 Teams.
We will be doing a family style cookout for dinner both Friday and Saturday night so if you want to participate please check the appropriate box on the registration form. We will send out an email 3 weeks prior to the match with a sign-up list of menu items.
