Alright, folks, the 2026 STMTC High Power Rifle schedule is here, promising a year of booming reports and the sweet smell of gunpowder. We've meticulously planned a series of events designed to test your marksmanship and your tolerance for early mornings, because hitting tiny targets at extreme distances is "fun."
Here's the rundown of our meticulously crafted schedule, guaranteed to provide you with ample opportunities to either become a legendary sharpshooter or regret not attending:
• June 20: Across the Course 200-500 yards, 80 shots
• July: NO MATCH. National Championships, Camp Perry, OHIO.
• August 22: 60 shot 3x500 yards AR, Bolt gun, Palma, Tactical AR.
• September 26: 30 shot Garand M1, AR Match fired at 200 yards.
• October 24: 60 shot 3x500 yards AR, Bolt gun, Palma, Tactical AR.
• November 21: Across the Course 200-500 yards, 88 shots
• December 6: STMTC Pearl Harbor Remembrance Match-30 shot Garand M1, AR15, followed by 5 Shot Bayonet Off Hand and Rattle Battle Match 50 shot. A historical match.
Location: Central Texas Silhouette Association (CTSA) Range, Dietz Shooting Complex, 421 Range Road, New Braunfels, TX 78132.
Time: Arrive by 8 am, the competition starts at 9 am, and concludes around 2 pm.
Match Fee: $20
Equipment: Service Rifle (AR15, M14, M1 Garand), Match
Rifle (any safe rifle < .308).
