78W's "Rocktoberfest" - 2 Days of AKs
78W's "Rocktoberfest" is a 10 stage, 2 day, Time Plus (Points) AK-only match.
This match is hosted at the beautiful Osprey Training Facility in southeastern North Carolina. Rocktoberfest will be ran on an AM/AM PM/PM format; If you shoot in the morning the first day, you also shoot in the morning on the second day.
Stages will have static RO's. Expect a minimum round count of 350rds for a clean match on a mixture of static steel and paper, with some active and reactive targets, across a variety of stages highlighting the diverse infrastructure that Osprey Training Facility provides; bays, jungle runs, and lots of fast and dirty action down combat alley, in the shoot houses, and trench. We know what our AK family likes 😉
Expect the professionally run but very fun AK match you've come to expect from our MD's. This is not a fitness match, but you will do some moving. Furthest shot will be 200yds.
The complete 78 West rulebook will be posted below shortly and will be similar to that of Kalash Bash 2026 and PCSL. The rule book for the club and all matches is considered a living document and an active link will be available on the match posting on Practiscore.

Safety briefs tentatively scheduled for 8am & 1230pm each day, first shots no later than 830am and 1pm; Times subject to change.
Award ceremony to follow the conclusion of shooting on the 2nd day. The top 3 of each Division having over 10 entrants, and the Category winners, will be recognized.
We encourage you to also check Party After Dark, our 2 gun night match occurring the night of the 24th, commencing after the first day of shooting for Rocktoberfest!

On-site lodging is not available for competitors at this time. Camping availability to be determined, but our night match on the 24th, Party After Dark, might stop you from getting very sound sleep.
There will NOT be a zeroing bay available before the match.
Payment due at time of registration. Full refund minus $15 processing fee until Oct 1st for withdrawals. No refunds offered after Oct 1, 2026. Match fee can be rolled as credit into a future 78 West match if withdrawing after Oct 1st.
An email will be sent roughly 1 week out from the match start date, as well as roughly 48 hours before the event, as a reminder and to provide any pertinent updates.
