2027 Healy Arms South Mountain Showdown

Phoenix Rod and Gun Club is proud to host the 2027 Healy Arms South Mountain Showdown. This is a Tier 3 match with 11 stages, 9 scenario-based, 1 standards and a warmup plus chrono. The match round count will be approximately 190 rounds. This is a one-day event. So, get out of the cold and snow and come join us in Phoenix, AZ, where the weather is nice and the shooting is better!
A few important notes:
• Please note that last year's match filled up in a few minutes. Don’t wait … set
your calendar reminders now to register.
• Current IDPA rules at the time of the match will apply.
• Per IDPA rules, SIG Sauer P320 and all variants are prohibited from all IDPA
events. Phoenix Rod and Gun Club abides by that ruling.
• Please select ONLY ONE subcategory per the Match Administration Rules,
paragraph M-5.2.
• Match fee is $150, which will include BBQ lunch at the end of match.
• Appendix inside the waistband (AIWB) holsters WILL BE ALLOWED for
Marksman and above.
• All registrations become final when the registration closes on December 12th.
• Division changes will not be allowed after December 26th as we need to have
the trophy orders in by then.
• Refunds for withdrawals on or before Dec 19 will be subject to a $25
processing fee. No refunds after December 19th.
• You will have 48 hrs. after approval to complete your registration and pay the
entry fee or you will be moved to the waitlist, and the next person will be
allowed into the match.
• Phoenix Rod and Gun Club is a COLD RANGE with designated safe areas. No
handling of firearms is permitted except on the firing line under SO direction, or
in the safe areas.
If you are NOT shooting on Friday with Staff, please make sure that you select squads 1 - 11. Squads 25 and 26 are reserved for Friday shooters only.
Competitors will have an option of shooting Friday, Jan 15th or Saturday, Jan 16th. There will be limited availability on Friday during the staff match. These are paid entries. If you are shooting on Friday, please select the "Competitor shooting with Staff" option during registration and select squad 25 or 26. These squads will be run by SO and CSO members of staff and will be separate from Staff shooters. If you select this option, be at the range and ready to shoot by 8:00 am Friday. Squad starting bays will be determined and made public closer to match day.

Prize Table:
We will highlight our sponsors and prizes they provided for the table during the dinner. However, for the sake of time, the majority of prizes will be handed out during the match, both on Friday and Saturday. Larger items, like guns, will be handed out during the awards ceremony between divisions. Attendance of the awards ceremony is required for these prizes.
