Practical Shooting 2 is a 3-hour class focused on improving speed, accuracy, and efficiency on every stage. This course builds on the fundamentals from Practical Shooting 1 and applies them in a more performance-driven way. Students will work on refining recoil control, tightening shot groups during faster strings, and eliminating wasted movement to gain time across each stage. You’ll learn how to recognize visual cues sooner, transition with more intention, and plan stages with a strategy that maximizes your hit factor. Expect focused drills, clear instruction, and practical techniques you can take straight into competition.

What To Know Before You Get Here:
If you have not taken our Practical Shooting 1 course (formerly known as Introduction to Competitive Shooting) then please contact the instructor via email before signing up at [email protected].
Required Equipment:
- Your own semi-automatic handgun, 9mm to 45ACP (No revolvers or calibers under 9mm)
- Red dots are HIGHLY encouraged but not required
- Belt mounted kydex or similar material holster on or forward of the hip (No leather or “sticky” holsters, and no drawing from behind the hip)
- 3 magazines or more
- Magazine pouch/holder (At least one)
- Appropriate range attire (pants, close-toed shoes, shooting belt or a sturdy belt)
- Appropriate ear and eye protection
- 350 rounds of ammunition minimum (No steel core, steel case, or aluminum case allowed)
