**FIRST TIME SHOOTERS PLEASE READ**
**This is a Cold Range, No loaded firearms, including Duty weapons, are allowed to be carried.
Handling of firearms around vehicles in the parking area is not allowed. Firearms must remain bagged and carried to the designated Safety Area, where the firearm may be handled, pointed in a safe direction and holstered. Ammunition is not allowed to be handled in the Safety Area. You are allowed to put on your gun belt in the parking area as well as handle ammunition.
**Upon arrival proceed to the check-in table. Tell this person it is your first match. Discuss the division you have signed up for, to ensure you are registered in the correct division. Ask where the Safety Area is located, so you can safely holster your unloaded firearm. Ask anyone for assistance if you cannot locate the Safety Area. Competitors are happy to help.
**Before the match begins there will be a briefing for new shooters. This brief will contain important information about range commands and firearm handling. After this brief the Match Director will address all competitors and relay information to everyone about the match. Squads will be called out along with the stage number where everyone will begin.
**It is good range etiquette to introduce yourself to the shooters in your squad. Everyone is expected to assist with the stage, paste targets and reset steel. Loud conversations and noise are distractions to the shooter, be respectful by keeping conversation and noise levels to a minimum while shooters are “making ready”, about to begin and while shooting a course of fire. After your last stage everyone is expected stay and help tear down and place the pieces and parts in storage. Results will be available to view in Practiscore later that afternoon.
Enjoy your day.
