The rifle must be chambered in an intermediate cartridge\, such as 223/556 or 7.62x39. So no AR10/308 based rounds.\nRIMFIRE RIFLE - Any rimfire rifle. To do this\, we combined standards\, mission based\, and run-n-gun type stages with a more dynamic experience that requires the shooter to adapt vs replay a rehearsed stage plan.\nThe 1Gun Rulebook is attached to the match and for more information\, please see the https://1gun.org website.\nBlind coin flips are done during the stage reset\, hidden under a cup\, revealing the threat target color after the starting beep\, produces dynamic stages. In other words\, every effort will be placed on keeping the shooting complexity similar\, regardless of which color threat is drawn. DESCRIPTION:Location:\n915 West Olney Drive\nPhoenix\, Arizona 85041\nREGISTRATION: $25.00 with a $5.00 discount for PRGC members.\nSTAGES: 3-5 at match director discretion\, usually 4 stages.\nThe goal of this match is to provide shooters of all levels the ability to leverage and practice practical and realistic firearms handling and shooting in a physically dynamic environment. Please keep in mind this match is relatively advanced and physically demanding so if you are a true beginner there may be other first steps that would benefit you before your first match. Feel free to email with questions.\nWe are a friendly\, no ego group of responsible firearm owners who leverage this venue by running a monthly match with an emphasis on physical & mental challenges not normally found anywhere elsewhere.\nAbove all\, we want everyone to enjoy themselves\, build camaraderie and improve themselves and inspire others to do the same.\nChamber flags and long gun cases are mandatory for long guns moving from car to stage\, and from stage to stage. Suppressed rifles that are too hot to safely case may be carried stage to stage muzzle up with chamber flag installed.\nCase and uncase long guns only pointed into a berm or designated direction. Uncasing and pointing a muzzle at anyone at any time is an immediate match DQ.\nNO ARMOR PIERCING AMMO ALLOWED. If you shoot thru a steel plate with armor piercing rounds\, you will be fined $200.00.\nLimited Division\nHandgun\nElectronic sights\, optical sights\, compensators\, muzzle brakes or barrel porting are prohibited.\nMagazine length may not exceed 5.561” (141.25mm).\nRifle\nNot more than one (1) non-magnified electronic or optical sight is permitted. Electronic or optical sights originally designed to be capable of any magnification (whether used or not) are prohibited. Any number of iron sights may be used. A1.4.2.2 Supporting devices (bipods\, bags etc.) are prohibited. Muzzle devices may not exceed 1 inch in diameter and 3 inches in length (as measured from the barrel muzzle to the end of the device).\nTactical Division\nHandgun\nElectronic sights\, optical sights\, compensators\, muzzle brakes or barrel porting are prohibited. Magazine length may not exceed 5.561” (141.25mm).\nRifle\nNot more than one (1) electronic or optical sight is permitted. Any number of iron sights may be used.\nA supplemental magnifier may be used with the permitted optical sight provided the magnifier does not contain an aiming reticle\, cannot be used as an aiming device by itself\, and remains mounted in the same location on the rifle for the duration of the event. A competitor may use the magnifier in either the magnified or unmagnified mode without restriction. Supporting devices (bipods\, bags etc.) are prohibited. Muzzle devices may not exceed 1 inch in diameter and 3 inches in length (as measured from the barrel muzzle to the end of the device).\nStealth Division\nHandgun\nThe handgun in its ready condition\, with magazine inserted and all accessories attached\, must fit wholly within a box with internal dimensions of 8.938” x 6.938” x 1.938” (tolerance +0.0625”\, -0”); see Appendix B for a reasonable facsimile. Measurement will be made with the slide parallel to the longest axis of the box. All magazines must comply.\nRifle\nMaximum magazine capacity is thirty-one (31) rounds\, and no magazine may be loaded with more than thirty (30) rounds after the start signal. Magazines may be coupled together provided the capacity is not increased beyond the permitted maximum.\nIf a bipod is used\, it may start any course of fire installed or removed\, folded or deployed at the competitor’s discretion. When used\, it must remain attached to the rifle for the duration of that course of fire. Other supporting devices (dual bipods\, tripods\, bags etc.) are prohibited.\nOpen Division\nHandgun\nThe holster must safely retain the handgun during vigorous movement and completely cover the trigger. A rifle sling is not mandatory\, but it behooves the shooter to have one on the rifle or a single point on the body.\nSCORING:\nFTE=15 second penalty. Failure to engage applies to any steel target not specifically shot at or knocked down on a stage. Falling steel must fall or it is an FTE penalty per instance.\nFTN=10 second penalty. Failure to neutralize is for paper targets only. Any paper target that has less than 2 hits or less than required hits per stage brief.\nNO SHOOT=30 second penalty.  No shoot penalty is per hit on a no shoot target and is cumulative.  10 hits on a no shoot is scored as 10 penalties.\nCOGS=60 second penalty.  This is for any infraction or failure to follow stage procedure as outlined in stage brief.  For any instance a shooter cannot perform a physical item on the stage brief (example tire flip\, kbell throw or carry\, etc) the shooter will be given a COGS penalty per instance.\nStage briefs may stipulate scoring other than listed here.

Practical shooting provides a structured environment to apply fundamental firearm skills on demand in dynamic stages\, reinforcing consistency\, accountability\, and performance under pressure.\nMatch Schedule\nMorning Match\n9:00 AM start time\nMidday Match\n1:00 PM start time\nMain Match\n5:00 PM start time\n- The main match will have dedicated Range Officers on each stage responsible for running the timer and scoring tablet to ensure smooth and consistent match flow.\n- The main match will also have a designated law enforcement or civilian mentor who will shoot first on every stage to demonstrate stage pacing and execution. SUMMARY:2026-08-01 Saturday USPSA  at Phoenix Rod and Gun Club
DESCRIPTION:This will be a 5 USPSA stage match with a round count of between 150 and 160.\nThis match has a special contest!  the person wearing the brightest and most patriotic outfit as chosen by the match director will get to shoot the following month match for free!!\nIf you want to shoot both matches (Friday night and Saturday morning) then you will have to register in two different divisions per USPSA rule 6.2.4 and 6.2.4.1. Failure to do so may result in zero score for the second match.\n$25 with a $5 discount for verified PRGC members.\nAppendix Carry is ONLY authorized for C Classification or above.\nThe Practical Division is always happy to have new shooters at our USPSA matches but it is important that you be familiar with the rules and procedures before you shoot your first match.\nWe will cover specific rules and answer questions at the new shooter’s briefing before the match but the following general rules will keep you in compliance when you first arrive:\nA. Bring your unloaded gun to the match in a case or bag.\nB. Handle your gun only at one of these two approved times:\n1.	When in the marked safety areas. These areas are where you transfer the gun from your bag or case to your holster at the start of the match\, and where you return it to your bag or case when you are finished with the match.\n2.	When explicitly authorized by the RO when it is your turn to shoot a stage. You are allowed to handle your gun beginning with the “Make Ready “ command and ending with the “Range Is Clear” command.\nC. Do not bring ammunition into the safety areas.\nD. Guns are to be unloaded with no magazines in them at all times except for when you are the shooter and have been given the “Make Ready “ command. After the “Range Is Clear” command you are again subject to the unloaded gun requirement.
