DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the 2026 ILPRS Season.\nILPRSC Matches are fast-paced long-range shooting competitions that will test your rifle marksmanship skills as you manage various barricades and obstacles to engage targets from 200 - 600 yards under a time constraint. Matches will consist of 8-10 stages where you will engage steel targets from different positions and various barricades. Target sizes are designed to be challenging. Target distances are usually known so shooters should have a good DOPE out to 600 yards.\nThis year ILPRS matches will not count for Precision Rifle Regional Series Points.\nMatches start at 9:00 am with a mandatory safety brief at 8:30 am. Registration opens at 8:00 am.  Matches typically take 4-5 hours to complete.  Gates open at 6am.\nILPRSC will follow the MODIFIED PRS 2025 rule book for scoring\, match points\, and safety.  A copy of the modified rules can be obtained by emailing your MD (Jonathan Trice JonathanTrice@gmail.com)\, on the Facebook ILPRS Page\, or at any ILPRSC Club Match.\nThis year there will only be two divisions of shooters.   Bolt Gun OPEN and Gas Gun OPEN.  Bolt Gun and Gas Gun will shoot separate courses of fire. Courses of fire will be separated by target shape.  Bolt Gun Shooters will engage shapes (squares & Circles) and animal targets while Gas Gun shooters will primarily engage IPSC targets and animal shapes.  Ideally Bolt Gun shooters and Gas Gun Shooters will be squadded together.  In the event that there are not enough gas gun shooters to justify a stand-alone squad Bolt gun shooters will be added to their squad to maintain match flow.\nMagnum calibers are not allowed. Please adhere to a 3200-fps maximum muzzle velocity for all rounds fired. Typical calibers are .308\, 6.5 Creedmoor\, .260 Remington\, 6mm\, 25mm\, and .223 Remington. A note of advice: larger caliber and smaller caliber heavier bullets are easier to spot and confirm impacts and misses.  RO/Spotters cannot always guarantee visual confirmation of small caliber light weight bullet impact or miss.  Match MD will do their best to utilize flashers and other hit indicating devices to help shooters and RO/Spotters identify Impacts and misses.\nBring a MINIMUM of 100 rounds to the match. While the course of fire is less than 100 rounds\, bring extra to account for any necessary reshoots.\nShooters should bring a scoped rifle\, ammo\, and good DOPE. Shooters can also use support bags and slings\, but these are not required. Tripods will be allowed on specific stages. There are no exceptions to this.\nIf you are not familiar with NRL22\, it is a great (and cheaper) way to experience precision rifle shooting.\nYou don't have to be a Member of NRL22 organization to shoot the monthly matches\, but  you do have to be a member if you want to be tracked by NRL22 and try to qualify for the NRL22 Nationals each year.\nThe monthly NRL22 Course of fire will be 5 stages (with a possibility of extra side stages). 80+ rounds of 22LR engaging steel targets from 25 to 100 yards. There is a good mix between prone\, barricade and positional stages. Steel targets sized from 1/4" to 6" depending on the stage description.\nMatches are focused on skills development and casual competition in a relaxed atmosphere. It’s a great opportunity to challenge your marksmanship skills from obstacles and barricades engaging targets as small as ¼ of an inch. Stages will have multiple steel targets ranging anywhere from 25 to 100 yards\, something you can’t shoot on most ranges. Each month is a different course of fire. DESCRIPTION:ASC Outlaw Steel\nLocation:\n7749 Rueff Rd\nWaterman\, Illinois 60556\nFacebook Page: ASC Action Shooting Facebook\n***Effective immediately:  due to safety concerns surrounding the Sig P320\, Outlaw Steel is banning the firearm platform from all outlaw steel events.  This decision wasn't arrived at lightly\, but in the interest of safety of our members and guests\, we've had to make this decision.  This will be reevaluated at a later date\, once the issue has been rectified by Sig Sauer.  Please note\, if you show up with a P320\, you will not be allowed to shoot the gun*****\nWhat is Outlaw Steel?\nThis sport is very similar to Steel Challenge.  If you're starting with a rimfire/PCC rifle\, or rimfire pistol\, you will start at low ready.  For centerfire pistols\, you're start loaded and holstered with your hands in the surrender position.  At the beep\, you'll engage 5 steel targets in any order\, with one steel target painted a different color indicating it's the stop plate\, meaning the plate you shoot last after shooting the other 4.  You'll repeat this a total of 5 times with your worst time thrown out and the other four used to calculate your stage time.\nPlease note:  calibers allowed are as follows:  22 long rifle\, 9mm\, .40 S&W\, 45 ACP\, 38 special.  No bottleneck pistol cartridges\, magnum pistol cartridges\,  or bottleneck rifle cartridges allowed.\nThis is one of the best ways to get into action shooting\, as well as getting younger shooters started in action shooting.\nAll skill levels are welcome\, and we always welcome new shooters!\nThis year will be a bit different from last year in that we're setting up the stages the day of the match.  With 60+ shooters\, this will literally take 10 minutes at most once all of the steel and equipment is dropped off.\nIf you see that the squads are full\, please continue to register.  We'll make room for you.\nSetup starts at 08:00 am.  If you can meet at the connex boxes to help load steel and equipment onto the trailer\, that will make things run much smoother.  Please note that you must help with setup\, otherwise you will not be allowed to shoot the match.  The sooner we are done with setup\, the sooner we can get check in done\, safety brief finished and begin shooting at 9am sharp.  Our hope is that we have the targets and bays set up before 8:30am so that I can get the tablets synced\, everyone completely checked in\, and get the safety brief done so that we're shooting at 9am. Shooters not checked-in\, or not helping with setup will forfeit their spot. There are no exceptions to this.  There are tasks that don't involve lifting steel\, so if you have physical issues that prevent you from lifting steel\, there will be many other things that need to be done.\n****   IF YOU ARE NOT CHECKED IN BY THE TIME THE SAFETY BRIEF STARTS\, YOU WILL BE DELETED FROM THE MATCH  ***\nThe prices are $10 for ASC members\, and $20 for non-members. This decision wasn't arrived at lightly\, but in the interest of safety of our members and guests\, we've had to make this decision.  This will be reevaluated at a later date\, once the issue has been rectified by Sig Sauer.  Please note\, if you show up with a P320\, you will not be allowed to shoot the gun*****\nWhat is Outlaw Steel?\nThis sport is very similar to Steel Challenge.  If you're starting with a rimfire/PCC rifle\, or rimfire pistol\, you will start at low ready.  For centerfire pistols\, you're start loaded and holstered with your hands in the surrender position.  At the beep\, you'll engage 5 steel targets in any order\, with one steel target painted a different color indicating it's the stop plate\, meaning the plate you shoot last after shooting the other 4.  You'll repeat this a total of 5 times with your worst time thrown out and the other four used to calculate your stage time.\nPlease note:  calibers allowed are as follows:  22 long rifle\, 9mm\, .40 S&W\, 45 ACP\, 38 special.  No bottleneck pistol cartridges\, magnum pistol cartridges\,  or bottleneck rifle cartridges allowed.\nThis is one of the best ways to get into action shooting\, as well as getting younger shooters started in action shooting.\nAll skill levels are welcome\, and we always welcome new shooters!\nThis year will be a bit different from last year in that we're setting up the stages the day of the match.  With 60+ shooters\, this will literally take 20 minutes at most once all of the steel and equipment is dropped off.\nIf you see that the squads are full\, please continue to register.  We'll make room for you.\nSetup starts at 08:00 am.  If you can meet at the connex boxes to help load steel and equipment onto the trailer\, that will make things run much smoother.  Please note that you must help with setup\, otherwise you will not be allowed to shoot the match.  The sooner we are done with setup\, the sooner we can get check in done\, safety brief finished and begin shooting at 9am sharp.  Our hope is that we have the targets and bays set up before 8:30am so that I can get the tablets synced\, everyone completely checked in\, and get the safety brief done so that we're shooting at 9am. Shooters not checked-in\, or not helping with setup will forfeit their spot. There are no exceptions to this. There are no exceptions to this.\nIf you are not familiar with NRL22\, it is a great (and cheaper) way to experience precision rifle shooting.\nYou don't have to be a Member of NRL22 organization to shoot the monthly matches\, but  you do have to be a member if you want to be tracked by NRL22 and try to qualify for the NRL22 Nationals each year.\nThe monthly NRL22 Course of fire will be 5 stages (with a possibility of extra side stages). 80+ rounds of 22LR engaging steel targets from 25 to 100 yards. There is a good mix between prone\, barricade and positional stages. Steel targets sized from 1/4" to 6" depending on the stage description.\nMatches are focused on skills development and casual competition in a relaxed atmosphere. It’s a great opportunity to challenge your marksmanship skills from obstacles and barricades engaging targets as small as ¼ of an inch.
