DESCRIPTION:NEW PISTOL RULES:\n    -Any properly functioning carry pistol can be used as long as it can be completely concealed.\n   - If the RO deems a pistol unsafe the shooter will be DQd. Example: triggers that are so light it bump fires.  \nNEW EQUIPMENT RULES:\n   -Holsters must be tight to the body. The holster can be IWB or OWB. But remember the holster must be completely covered.\n   - No shoulder holster\, pocket holster\, drop leg holster\, or race gun holsters allowed. The holster needs to be made of a rigid material and not a collapsible material.\n   -Double belts are not allowed.\n   -Fishing vests are not allowed.\nIn short\, we want you using what you would normally wear when going out on the town.\n   -Only 2 magazines total are allowed on the shooter.\n   -Each magazine will be loaded with 6 rounds max.\nGENERAL RULES:\n   -If a stage starts with an “unloaded gun”\nThe slide must be forward or revolver cylinder closed.\n   -If a shooter is required to shoot from a specific area he/she must shoot from that position. Disregarding this will result in a 3 second procedural penalty and a failure to do right penalty of 10 seconds.\n   -If there are fault lines\, the shooter must “slice the pie.”\n   -A loaded magazine left on the ground is legal.\n   -Police or active duty personnel are exempt from the concealment rules while using a duty rig.\n   -On stage #1 at every CCM event\nIf the start position is outside of the door\, the gun cannot be removed from the holster until the shooter is inside the door. Failure to do so is a DQ. Safety is of highest priority at all times.

SUMMARY:Windrock Ladies Intro to Competition Match (Sponsored by 3GunKenzie)
DESCRIPTION:This women-only match is designed to introduce women to various shooting sports. We will have one stage dedicated to each shooting discipline: IDPA\, Steel Challenge\, USPSA\, PSCL\, and an Outlaw Style stage. These stages will be simple\, but will challenge your ability to transition from one target to the next\, reload\, and shoot accurately. This match isn’t about speed or impressing anyone; it is about learning about the different shooting sports to see what you might be interested in trying in the future. \nAt each stage\, you will be read a stage brief just like you would see at one of these shooting competitions. 3GunKenzie and other professional competitive shooters will break down each stage with the group of shooters and conduct a walkthrough to explain how you might approach it. She will then demonstrate by shooting each stage and course of fire first\, so you will have a practical understanding of how to execute shooting a stage. She will then walk through the scoring of each shooting sport and answer any questions you might have. \nIf you have your own gear for any of these shooting sports\, you are welcome to bring it and use it. If you have no experience with your gear/setup\, please share that with 3GunKenzie\, as we want all shooters to be safe and know how to use their gear. Your belt\, holster\, and magazine pouches need to be legal for at least one shooting sport (rigid competition/IDPA belt\, dedicated holster with proper retention for your firearm\, structured magazine pouches also designed with proper retention for your firearm’s magazines). It doesn’t matter if you only have a USPSA-style belt that is not legal for IDPA; the goal is to learn the shooting sport without having to change belts\, holsters\, or setups for each stage if you don’t want to. If you want to change setups\, you will need to visit a safe table. No inside-the-waistband holsters will be allowed for this match. We will work only with outside-the-waistband holsters. There will be no Sticky holsters or Uncle Mike’s holsters allowed\, for example\, or anything that is not designed to properly retain a firearm. 3GunKenzie will make the final decision on gear if any item is unsafe for use.
\nIf you do not own a belt setup with a holster and magazine pouches\, that’s okay. 3GunKenzie will have demo setups at this match for each stage\, allowing anyone to try different gear. If you are uncomfortable drawing from a holster\, you may start at the low ready. We would rather you be safe and learn the sport\, without worrying about doing something for the first time at a shooting match. We will reiterate that there is zero pressure to perform or expectation to have super-fast stage times. We understand that a timer will be used to show how a shooting sport is timed and scored\, but we do not want women to feel pressured to perform unsafe actions due to the pressure of shooting with a timer. If you feel uncomfortable with being timed\, please let us know at each stage. We can run you through the stage without a timer if you prefer. \nRequired Gear:\nYou must have proper shooting eyewear and hearing protection. These must be worn at all times on the range. We will be shooting at steel targets\, and there’s always the chance you can be hit with shrapnel. If you wear prescription glasses\, those are acceptable. We recommend purchasing side shields to prevent debris from entering through the sides of your lenses/glasses. \nBelow are estimates of what each stage will require (subject to change). Please plan to bring extra ammunition. Occassionally a reshoot might occur\, and you’ll need to shoot the stage over again. \nAmmunition\, Round Counts\, Magazine Quantities (Estimates):\nIDPA Stage - 9mm Only. 16 rounds to clean it\, so we recommend bringing extra ammunition (25-30 rounds) for makeup shots. 2-3 Magazines needed. 1-2 Magazine Pouches. \nIDPA Match Rules \n\nSteel Challenge Stage - 9mm or .22LR. We will be shooting Smoke & Hope (https://scsa.org/resources/scsa_stages/smoke_and_hope.pdf). This stage requires 5 strings\, so clean would mean 25 rounds. We recommend bringing 50 rounds in your choice of ammunition. No magazine pouches are needed. For .22LR\, you need 5 10-round magazines OR 2-3 larger capacity magazines to get through the stage without having to reload. For 9mm\, depending on your firearm choice\, you might only need 2-3 magazines. DESCRIPTION:The following are basic rules for match. They can/will be modified to suit needs of event and range. Range owner/director has final say on all rules and event status. Individual waivers will be completed prior to event and will be needed to participate in event.\nAll Shooters to be briefed at beginning of event of safety rules. Course of fire to be explained at each stage.\nAll stages will begin at the shooting position with a magazine in and action open. Bolt action to the rear\, semi auto locked in open position.\nCourse of fire will be explained prior to shooter approaching line\, basic commands to be given.\nEach stage will be 12 rounds\, magazine capacity is option of shooter. Only 12 rounds to be shot. Exception will be KYL racks for accuracy\, 12 rounds available for an eight round target set.\nSpotters will have binos and a tripod to observe hits on steel. Shooter will have option for a “HIT” call on target. Missed targets will not be called\, nor areas of misses.\nTime for each stage to be determined. Scoring will be stating with 12 for each stage with misses and non-engagements to have 1 point removed\, procedurals to have 1 point removed.\nSafety violations will be dealt with on case by case situation. All shooters will assist in RSO duties to keep range safe. New shooters to be briefed prior to event start and paired with experienced groups.\nWeapon staging areas will be provided at each stage. No weapon to be handled until shooter is called to line. Magazines may be loaded in rear area and kept on person until called to line\n12 rounds per stage. 5 stages total. 22 rimfire only.\nRegistration starts at 10:30. Shooting starts at 11:00.\nBags\, bipods\, and tripods will be necessary for this match. We have plenty you can borrow throughout the match if you dont have your own.

DESCRIPTION:Our BUG match is limited to 5 rounds per magazine with a possible reload. There are no more than 10 rounds per stage. A BUG gun must be 380\, 38\, 357\, 9mm\, 40 or 45 acp caliber. If a semi-automatic\, it must have a barrel of 4.01 inches or less; if a revolver\, it must have a barrel of 4 inches or less. Concealment is required. No shoulder holsters or ankle holsters allowed.
