DESCRIPTION:KFGC Action Pistol Practice is an opportunity for shooters to practice their shooting skills\, test new equipment\, and have a good time. It is an excellent opportunity for shooters new to action shooting to give it a try before entering a match. This event intends to provide practice time for experienced competitive shooters by providing a variety of drills that build skills and speed. It also offers first-time competitors a stress-free\, friendly environment where they can learn about competitive shooting through practical application. New shooters will be “coached\,” by more experienced competition shooters.\nCompetitors must bring safety eyewear\, hearing protection\, a suitable firearm\, a sturdy belt\, a belt-mounted holster they feel comfortable drawing from\, enough magazines to carry 30 rounds\, and 100 rounds of ammunition. It's recommended that competitors bring magazine pouches but you're also welcome to put spare magazines in your pockets if you don't have magazine pouches. All Competitors are expected to demonstrate safe weapons handling at all times. Competitor check-in will begin at 4:30 pm at KFGC pit 4. A safety briefing will be at 4:50 pm and shooting starts at 5:00 pm.\nAll firearms shall be unloaded and cased upon entering KFGC. Once inside pit 4\, check in with Nola or Rich\, and if you are new to the practice\, the Range Officers will walk you through the process of gearing up with your firearm. This event will be a "COLD RANGE". Do NOT gear up in any location other than on the range under the supervision of the staff.

DESCRIPTION:Kayaderosseras Fish and Game Club Action Pistol program is pleased to announce a Galactic Pistol Alliance (GPA) match.\nGPA match will involve six stages (typically 18-24 rounds each). This is an NRA sanctioned Special Tournament ( Rule 1.6.j ) with Tournament ID Number - 2026187486)\nThe match is open to the public. We welcome new shooters and non-GPA Members. GPA rules are similar but different than IDPA rules - GPA slogan is Half the Rules - Twice the Fun.  GPA offers free first year annual membership. Please look over the rule book found at:www.galacticpistolalliance.com\nScores will be posted on Practiscore after match.\nWe will be observing the current GPA rule book for our match. However\, please note that KFGC does NOT allow Appendix draw at this time.\nCompetitors should have completed a Practical Pistol Safety Class or have documentation of having participated in a Level II or higher GPA\, SASS\, IDPA\, USPSA\, or ICORE match. Otherwise\,  prior to the match the competitor will be required to pass a safety assessment to the Match Director 's satisfaction.  KFGC is a cold range; all firearms must be unloaded and cased\, with ammunition stored separately. Ammunition is not allowed within safe areas.\nSet Up starts at 9 a.m. on the day of the match. Help in setting up is necessary if we are going to continue to be able to host the matches and start at noon.\n$20 for the match.\n$15 for KFGC members.\nPayment in cash on Saturday morning at check-in.  Exact change is appreciated.\nRegistration check-in opens at 11:00 AM.
