SUMMARY:Heartland Steel Challenge League June 11th
DESCRIPTION:Steel Challenge is a speed shooting competition governed by the Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA) that consists of eight standardized stages with steel targets in three sizes; small circular (10”)\, large circular (12”) and rectangular (18x24”) targets. Competitors are scored solely by the time it takes them to complete each stage\, and the match winner is the competitor with the lowest overall time.\nThere will be 3 stages with 5 steel targets on each. Shooters get five runs on each stage. Each competitor shoots each stage five times\, with their slowest run dropped. The counting times are totaled for their stage score\, and the 4 stage scores are added together to establish the competitor's match score.\nFor each run\, one hit per target is required\, with an unlimited number of rounds. The last target to be shot is known as the "stop plate"\, which stops the timer. Any primary targets that have not been hit after the stop plate has been struck\, will be scored with a 3-second penalty each. The maximum time permitted for a run is 30 seconds and a competitor will be stopped and asked to reload if they reach the 30 second limit.

SUMMARY:Heartland Cornhusker State Games PCSL Rifle July 18th
DESCRIPTION:PCSL Rifle\nMax Leograndis\, a shooting legend\, envisioned PCSL as the pinnacle of practical shooting. His vast experience across disciplines like Multigun and USPSA informed PCSL’s design. It aims to provide a competitive experience that is both familiar and innovative.\nPCSL is designed to be an inviting entry point for newcomers. Its structure is simple yet challenging. It focuses on marksmanship fundamentals in a competitive environment. This ensures that even those new to competition shooting can participate and progress smoothly.\nThis will be a 4 stage\, rifle only match (223/556 semi auto). Competitors will engage paper and steel targets from various distances within the stage design according the written stage brief. Scoring is hit-factor (points divided by time)\, so speed and accuracy matter. If you have shot USPSA\, IDPA or IPSC matches this will feel similar in the way the match flows just with a rifle instead of a pistol.\nAwards: 1st place per division\n 2nd place if 5 or more in the division\n 3rd place if 9 or more in the division\nRegistration fee: 30$ until Feb. 18th\n 35$ Feb. 19th - April. 22nd\n 40$ April 23rd - June 17th\n 45$ June 18th - close of registration.\nPCSL Rifle - Core Divisions\n3.20. Competition (COMP)\n3.20.2. Minimum caliber: 5.7x28\, 5.45x39\, 5.56x45\, 9x19mm\n3.20.3. Maximum caliber: .308 Win/7.62x51\n3.20.4. Minimum power factor: No\n3.20.5. Optics: no restrictions\n3.20.6. Suppressors allowed\n3.20.7. Bipods\, bags\, and related support devices are allowed in PCSL Rifle matches in\nCompetition division only\, but not in PCSL 2-Gun matches.\n3.20.7.1. Tripods are never allowed outside of PCSL 3-Gun Open division.\n3.20.8. No other restrictions\n3.21. Practical (PRAC)\n3.21.1. Minimum caliber: 5.45x39\, 5.56x45\n3.21.2. Maximum caliber: .308 Win/7.62x51\n3.21.3. Minimum power factor: No\n3.21.4. Optics: no restrictions\n3.21.5. Magazine load-to capacity: 30+1\n3.21.6. Magazines that are capable of holding more than 30 rounds (including drums)\nare allowed provided that they are only loaded to 30 rounds at the start of the\nstage\n3.21.7. Coupled magazines (side by side) are prohibited\n3.21.8. Magwells up to 2.000” outer width are allowed\n3.21.9. Muzzle Devices:\n3.21.9.1. Suppressors allowed\n3.21.9.2. Muzzle brakes are prohibited UNLESS used for the purpose of adapting a\nsuppressor\, as long as the suppressor remains attached. A muzzle brake is\ndefined as any muzzle device that features at least one set of externally visible braking baffles for which the uncompromising purpose is to reduce\nrecoil force\, rather than compensate for muzzle rise or act as a flash hider\n3.21.9.2.1. Muzzle brakes which are integrated into the end of a suppressor (like the\nSilencerCo Anchor Brake) are allowed.\n3.21.9.2.2. A blast mitigation device such as the Surefire Warden or Griffin Armament\nBlast Shield that remains attached to a muzzle brake is allowed\n3.21.9.2.3. Examples:\n■ The PWS PRC Compensator IS defined as a muzzle brake because the\nfirst ports closest to the barrel constitute a set of externally visible\nbraking baffles. However\, the similar PWS FSC Compensator is NOT\ndefined as a muzzle brake because its baffle set is compromised in\nterms of recoil reduction in order to achieve its hybrid purpose.\n■ The Surefire Warcomp is NOT defined as a muzzle brake because it\nacts as a flash hider with muzzle rise compensating ports\, not braking\nbaffles to reduce recoil force.\n■ The KAC MAMS\, Precision Armament EFAB and AFAB\, and similar\ndevices are NOT defined as muzzle brakes because their baffle sets\ndo not have the uncompromised purpose of reducing recoil due to the\npinhole-style gas port design.\n■ For any specific muzzle device questions\, please send a link to the\nproduct or very clear pictures of the device to info@pcsleague.com\n3.21.9.3. No restriction on muzzle device size\n3.21.10. Bolt Carrier Groups: Lightened or Reduced Mass BCGs are prohibited. In any\nplatform\, the total assembled BCG mass must be no less than 0.2oz under the\nOEM BCG mass of the platform. In an AR-15\, the OEM BCG mass is considered to\nbe 11.0oz.\n3.21.11. Tripods\, bipods\, bags\, and related support devices are prohibited.\n3.21.12. No other restrictions.\nRound count will be roughly 100rds required\, recommended to bring 150-200 to account for make up shots.
