SUMMARY:SoCal Long Range PIRU - HUNTER Style Precision Rifle Match - July 18th\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:SoCal Long Range PIRU - HUNTER Style Precision Rifle Match is designed to simulate hunting scenarios and increase your skills as a hunter. This match will have 6 stages taking place in multiple bays throughout the range. This is NOT an NRL Hunter points match.\nThere will be 3 Divisions:\nFactory (unmodified production rifles weighing up to 12 lbs. maximum including scope and bipod).\nOpen Light (modified rifles up to 14 lbs. maximum including scope and bipod).\nOpen Heavy (any rifles over 14 lbs. including scope and bipod).\nNO STEEL CORE AMMUNITION WILL BE ALLOWED\nEach stage will have 1 to 3 Targets\, and be blind stage where shooters have a time limit of 4 minutes to locate\, range and engage targets using the 2-1 dead target scoring. This scoring system awards 2 points for a first-round hit and 1 point for a second-round hit (if you miss the first)\, with a maximum of 6 points per stage.\nMaximum points will be 36\, with one stage being a timed tie breaker.\nSafety Requirements:\nAll long guns must have magazines out and a safety/chamber flag installed when not on the line.\nAll long guns must be bagged or cased when transported between your car and the staging area at the public range.\nCheck in will be at Bay 30\n7:30 am - Check in.\n8:00 am - Safety Brief and Zero if needed.\n8:45 am - Match Orientation.\n9:00 am - Match Starts.

DESCRIPTION:BRING A FRIEND TO THEIR FIRST MATCH AND IT'S ONLY $20 FOR THEM.\n7 to 8 stages with yardages ranging from 200 to 1100 yards.\nMost stages will be between 10-12 rounds\, shooting\nfrom various barricades and positions. Be prepared with at least 100 rounds for the match and more for zero check or re-shoots.\nThe shooting is from “flat range” conditions (but ground is uneven) up valleys and hills to the targets. Although in beautiful Southern California\, the weather can vary widely\, so be prepared for cold or warm conditions\, wet or dry.\nNo steel core ammunition will be allowed.\nEquipment\nYou will need a rifle with an optic that will allow you to locate and engage targets\, and any other shooting gear you like to use. Rangefinders\, spotting scopes\, binoculars\, shooting rests are all acceptable.\nDivisions are either Semi-Auto or Manually Operated Rifle.\nSafety Requirements:\nAll long guns must have a safety/chamber flag installed when not on the line.\nAll long guns must be bagged or cased when transported between your car to the stages on the public range stages only.\nStages at Bay 30 and 31 and can be at the Public Range for 900 to 1060 yards.\n0700 Check in Bay 30 You must first sign waiver at Pro Shop\nRifle zero after check in\n0800 Match Start\nMatch fee: $50
