SUMMARY:SoCal Long Range PIRU - PRS Regional RIMFIRE Match - June 6th
DESCRIPTION:SoCal Long Range Piru - PRS Regional Rimfire Match. This Match is a PRS Points Match and will consist of 8-10 stages shooting from various barricades and positions at targets from 50 to 250 yards. Approximately 100 rounds for the match. Bring extra if you need to zero or in case of a re-shoot. This is for .22lr and Airguns ONLY.  \nIf this is your first PRS style match please email me after signing up so I can squad you appropriately. Our goal is to create a following in Precision Rimfire Rifle here in the Southern California area\, and to have fun!  \nAmmunition:\nThis is for .22lr and AirGuns only as stated in the PRS rule book. All ammo must be subsonic.\nEquipment:\nYou will need a rifle with an optic that will allow you to locate and engage targets\, and any other shooting gear you like to use. Rangefinders\, spotting scopes\, binoculars\, shooting rests are all acceptable\, and different equipment will be allowed on various stages.\nSafety Requirements:\nAll long guns must have magazines out and a safety/chamber flag installed when not on the line.\nAll long guns must be bagged or cased when transported between your car and the staging area.\nAll stages will take place at Bay 31 "Burbank Muzzle Loaders".\n7:30 am - Check in.\n8:00 am - Safety Brief and Zero if needed.\n8:45 am - Match Orientation.\n9:00 am - Match Starts.  \nMatch fee: $50. SUMMARY:SoCal Long Range PIRU - LONG GONG Championship - May 30th\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:All targets will be engaged from the bench to KYL racks with increasing points as you move to the smaller targets. Three targets\, worth 1 - 2 and 3 points respectively. You have 10 rounds to engage as many points as possible. You must start with the largest target. Once hit\, you may proceed to the next smaller target (but you don’t have to). If you miss that target\, you must go back and re-engage the previous target. Maximum points obtainable is 27 per string. There will be 3 strings per division. The person with the most points at the end of the 3rd string wins that division.\nThree Divisions:\nRimfire - .22lr and AirGuns only\, distance of 225 yards.\nTactical - AR Style .223 / 5.56 only\, distance of 300 yards.\nCenterfire - Open\, .308 maximum caliber\, distance of 400 yards.\nYou can compete in one division\, or all three. There will be trophies for the winner of each division\, as well as a Long Gong Champion 2026 trophy which will be the combined total of TWO divisions.\nEntry Fee:\n$30 bucks for one division\, $40 for two\, and $50 for all three.\nStages will be held on Bay 30 (Tactical and Centerfire) and Bay 31 (Rimfire). Start times will vary.\nRimfire - 8:00 am start.\nTactical - 9:00 am start.\nCenterfire - 10:00 am start.\nCheck in will be at Bay 30\, 7:00 am.\nThis is a limited entry match. DESCRIPTION:In this class you will learn what the Precision Rifle Series (PRS) is all about!\nThis is a beginner class for those interested in learning about PRS matches and how to participate. Even though this is a beginner class\, it is NOT for someone without any experience shooting a rifle. Each participant must be a legal firearm owner and competent in the use of their rifle. If you are a first time shooter\, I strongly recommend taking a private rifle lesson with one of the other qualified instructors at CTA.\nFor this class you will need a Rifle with a Scope (adjustable first focal plane scope recommended). Also a bipod\, rear sandbag and appropriate ammunition.
