DESCRIPTION:.22 Rimfire Challenge Match Description\nMatch Overview\nOur .22 Rimfire Challenge Match is designed to provide a fun\, safe\, and challenging shooting experience for shooters of all skill levels. This match focuses on practical shooting fundamentals including accuracy\, target transitions\, and stage planning using affordable and low-recoil .22 rimfire firearms.\nThe match will consist of 2 pistol and 2 rifle stages that simulate practical shooting scenarios. Competitors will engage a variety of steel targets from different shooting distances.\nThis match is intended to be beginner-friendly while still providing a competitive environment for experienced shooters.\nFirearm & Equipment\n• .22 LR Rimfire Rifle and Pistol\n• Semi-auto magazine fed (no tube fed rifles)\n• Minimum of 3– 5 magazines recommended\n• Eye and ear protection required for all shooters and spectators\n• Chamber flags may be required depending on range rules\nCourse of Fire\n• Multiple stages will be set up on the range\n• Stages may include:\nSteel targets\nMultiple shooting distances\n• Round counts will typically range 25 rounds per stage\, if you don’t miss.\nScoring\nScoring will typically follow time plus penalties:\n• Fastest time wins\n• Missed targets add penalty time\nFinal match standings will be based on total time plus penalties across all stages.\nSafety\nSafety is the top priority.\nAll competitors must follow range commands and the directions of the Range Officer (RO) at all times.\nKey safety rules include:\n• Keep firearms pointed in a safe direction at all times\n• Keep finger off the trigger until sights are on target\n• Follow all range commands immediately\n• If you are unsure of a stage procedure\, ask before shooting\nAny unsafe firearm handling may result in match disqualification.\nWho Can Participate\nThis match is open to:\n• New shooters\n• Youth shooters (with parent/guardian as required)\n• Experienced competitors looking for inexpensive practice\n• Anyone wanting to improve their shooting skills in a safe and supportive environment\nMatch Goals\nThe goal of this match is to:\n• Promote safe firearm handling\n• Build shooting skills and confidence\n• Provide an affordable shooting sport\n• Create a fun and welcoming shooting community\nAfter you register\, do not forget to choose your squad at the bottom of the registration page.\nMatch Fee\n$10 for members\n$20 for non members\n$3 for youth
