SUMMARY:CHC July 2026 Steel Match
DESCRIPTION:NOTE: This is a Thursday/Friday match as we had to move this match to accommodate the IPSC Black Badge course at our range on the July 4th weekend\, and we didn't want to conflict with EOSC IDPA on the 18th.  We did ADD a Thursday evening squad to allow those who work Thursday and Friday to be able to shoot.\nSetup & Worker Shoot: **Thursday** the 16th. Setup begins at 10:00 AM\, followed by a worker squad shoot in the afternoon.  A competitor is allowed to shoot in the worker squad if match day doesn't work for their schedule.\nMatch Days:\n**Thursday** the 16th\n- Evening Squad(s): 5 PM start\, last shot 8 PM\, hard limit.\n**Friday** the 17th\n- Morning Squad(s): 10 AM start\n- Afternoon Squad(s): 1:30 PM start\, last shot 5 PM\, hard limit.\nEquipment and Round Count: Your division gun(s)\, 5 mags/speed loaders/moonclips (or bring/make a friend to load if you have less than 5)\, and 125 rounds (bring 200 to be safe).\nImportant: A mandatory safety meeting at Range 2 is 15 minutes before your squad's start time. Please arrive 30 minutes early to prepare.\nCapacity: Each squad is limited to 10 guns\, for a total of 40 match guns not including the Worker Squads.\nFees & Perks:\nMatch Fee (one gun): $25.00\nAdditional Gun Fee: $15.00 (must be a different division)\nChild Gun Fee (less than 18 years): $15.00 if with their relative.\nLunch: Make a donation if you don't work\nFree Match Perk (one gun): Work a half-day (Build / RO / Scorekeep)\nFree Additional Gun Perk: Work a full day (or an additional half-day)\nPerk for Workers: Free lunch on any working day\nPerk for Everyone: Free coffee\, Timbits\, water\, and soft drinks\nPerk for Match Directors from Any Club: Free match if you run a brick or tablet while not actually shooting (don't need to do physical work)\nPayment: Send Interac to steel_match@cornwallhandgunclub.ca at least 24 hours before shooting starts (deadline 10 am on Build Day). Email for alternative payment instructions if needed. If you are not paid (or made arrangements or volunteered to work) by 10 am on Build Day\, you can be bumped by a worker or someone on the waitlist willing to pay immediately. First bump is last signed up who didn't pay.\nWaitlist: We deliberately have more spaces than available shooting spaces\, so you are able to register to work\, even if the shooting spaces are full. This is to allow workers to sign up to work after the shooting spaces are full\, and 'bump' non-paying shooters Friday 10 am AND get a free gun. Thus if the shooting slots are full\, sign up to work (Build\, RO\, or Scorekeep)\, and not only will you get a free match\, but you have first dibs on the shooting space of a non-paying shooter. In the event everyone has paid\, your next match is free (remind me next match). Note that you cannot shoot the same squad that you work in unless you are a Match Director from any club. Finally\, once the worker slots are full\, if you waitlist and are willing to pay immediately\, you can bump an unpaid shooter at 10 am on Build Day.\nPCC Divisions & Rentals:\nPCC divisions are included. If your PCC is now prohibited\, we have a Henry Homesteader 9 mm rifle (PCCO) available for $10 cash rental. Bring your own Glock mags (available to borrow if needed) and 9mm ammo.\nIf you don't bring a gun\, we have a Ruger SR-22 .22LR rifle (RFRO) for the same $10 cash rental. Bring your own 10/22 mags (available to borrow if needed) and high or hyper velocity .22LR ammo.  If you are a new CHC member needing a handgun for handgun live fire training sessions\, add $10 to your match fee that you pay and we will provide a club training pistol (bring your own ammo).\nQuebec ATT: Download Invitation Letter from this registration page for your ATT application.\nRegistration Process: To register for any task or shoot\, you must:\n- Click the registration link and register (how you got here).\n- Pick a squad.\n- Click Select Squad to confirm.\n- **Repeat this entire process for each additional task or division you wish to participate in (e.g.\, building\, RO/scorekeeping\, or shooting another division) - do NOT just edit your first entry as that won't work - Click the match name in the upper right corner of the screen to register again**\nLet's ring some steel together!
