SUMMARY:Flagstaff Action Shooters - Classic Action Pistol (ICORE) - June
DESCRIPTION:An action pistol match open to all but geared towards "classic" handguns. We define classic as revolvers or 1911s\, but we are very inclusive -- this is open to all action pistol shooters.\nMandatory safety briefing at ***9:00 a.m.*** followed by first shots. Sign ups open 30 minutes ahead of time\, but showing up an hour ahead of time to help with set up will be appreciated.\nLocation is here: http://flagstaffactionshooters.org/location\nWe will use the ICORE rule set for its simplicity. Scoring is based on total time (no hit factors). Poor hits or misses simply add time to a shooters score. Compared to a USPSA match\, this scoring focuses more on accuracy than speed with stronger penalties for non-Alpha hits.\nMinimum equipment is a revolver or pistol of .38 Special/9mm or larger\, a holster which holds the firearm securely and covers the trigger guard\, and a belt strong enough to carry the gun (no cloth holsters) and ammunition in a safe manner. All participants and spectators must wear eye and ear protection when shooting is in progress. Generally\, 150 rounds are sufficient to complete all courses of fire\, and about 20-30 on any given stage.\nTo keep every thing even\, all guns will shoot with the same capacity restrictions\, specifically a maximum of 8 rounds in the gun at any given time.\n$15 for FAS members\, $25 for non-members. Membership is $50 per year. Kids shoot free. This is payable at the range\, cash or check. We do NOT use PractiScore membership.

SUMMARY:Flagstaff Action Shooters USPSA for June
DESCRIPTION:This one is different! We are hosting an NROI Range Officer Training event this weekend\, and the RO candidates need to get some range time. So... we are moving the match to Sunday instead of Saturday.\nArrive thirty minutes early for check-in\, or ninety minutes early to help with set up.\n***Repeat: Sunday\, not Saturday***\nThe match will be at Prevail Training Center (formerly Camp Savage)\, and the fee will be $15 for FAS members\, $25 for non-members. Membership is $50 per year. Kids shoot free. This is payable at the range\, cash or check. We do NOT use PractiScore membership.\nDirections to Prevail Training Center: http://flagstaffactionshooters.org/location\nEye and ear protection are required\, even for spectators\, and you must be present at the safety briefing at the start of the match to participate. All shooters and observers must sign a waiver.\nWe operate under cold range rules. Do not exit your vehicle with a loaded weapon. The only time we handle firearms is at a "safe table" (without ammo)\, or at the at the firing line under the direction of a safety officer. Firearms remain unloaded until the safety officer directs the participant to "make ready."\nNo SERPA or other trigger finger release holsters (unless permanently disabled and allowed by the match director or range master).\nPlan on a total round count of ~100-150\, many of us bring at least 200 rounds to be safe (or because we miss a lot).\nNOTE TO NEW SHOOTERS: You must have attended our Introduction to Action Shooting class. If you have not\, please email the Match Director to arrange for a briefing before the match.\nIf you are interested in the rules or further information\, here is a link to the rules: https://uspsa.org/viewer/2024-USPSA-Competition-Rules.pdf
