SUMMARY:2026 South Carolina State Steel Challenge Championship
DESCRIPTION:This is an SCSA Level II Championship Match. The 6 shorter official stages will be shot (Accelerator\, Five to Go\, Showdown\, Pendulum\, Roundabout\, and Smoke and Hope). NOTE: You MUST be a SCSA Member to shoot this event. If you are interested in being an RO\, please contact Lewis Hoover (lewis.hoover90@gmail.com).\nThere will be 2 sessions on Friday (AM/PM) for staff and competitors and 2 sessions on Saturday (AM/PM). Maximum of 2 firearms per time slot and one gun per division.\nCheck-in begins 1 hour before start.\nSafety briefing starts 30 minutes before start.\nSAFETY: All shooters and NON-SHOOTERS must have eye and ear protection on while on the range and shooting is occurring.\nFirearms must be unloaded at all times except during the Course of Fire under the direct supervision of a Range Officer (RO).\nLong guns must have an EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATOR (Chamber Flag) IN PLACE at all times starting from the moment the rifle is uncased for placement in a gun cart or brought to the shooting position.\nPistols may be unbagged and holstered ONLY at designated safety areas or unbagged under the direction of a RO at the shooting position.\nSafe Areas will be clearly marked.\nRefund Policy - No refunds after October 1\, 2026\nSHIRTS: One performance crewneck t-shirt per person is included in the registration. NOTE: Registrations after October 1\, 2026 will not include a shirt\, as there will not be enough time for the shirts to be made in time for the match after that time.\nAWARDS: The awards ceremony will occur after shooting is completed on Saturday.\nCertificates will be awarded per SCSA Rules: 10 minimum for Division and Classes\, and 5 Minimum for Category. Special Awards (Steel Master\, Rifle Master\, Rimfire Master) will be awarded if at least 5 competitors meet the criteria. You do not have to present to be awarded. We can hand your certificate to a proxy in attendance to deliver it to you. Awards will be based upon registered shooters (category/divisions) as of October 11\, 2026.\nLUNCH: Will be provided each day of the event for each participant. A limited number of extra meals will be available for purchase each day.\nRANGE ACCESS: There is ample parking for the match and the bays are close together\, but space around the bays is limited.
