SUMMARY:SGC 2026_10_04 Steel Challenge Salisbury Gun Club
DESCRIPTION:MATCH STARTS AT 10AM HAMMER DOWN.\nWelcome to SGC's Steel Challenge Match!  We will use 2 of our 3 Pistol Bays\, and run 2 squads.  We will do 4 stages in Sept\, (3 during hot summer).  With a stage swap after shooting the first 2.\nSCSA Level 1 Match.\nBring 120 rounds.  Probably need 100 for the match.\nIn the event of inclement weather\, the shooting positions will be setup under tents. Check SGC Practical Shooting Matches Facebook page for updated weather cancellations.\nCheck-in begins at 930\, safety briefing at 950\, hammer down at 1000.\nSteel Challenge Rules can be found at https://scsa.org/rules\nFee is $16.  Shooters may shoot two divisions.  YOU MUST REGISTER A 2ND TIME FOR YOUR 2ND GUN.\n5 Magazines for your firearm are highly recommended.  Might be able to get away with 3 or 4\, pending your aim!\nShooters and spectators will require eye and ear protection when on the range.\nOur range is a cold range. Guns must remain holstered or cased except when under direction of RO on the firing line or in a safe handling area. Prior to the match all guns must be cleared. SGC is a cold range. If you arrive with a loaded carry gun\, please contact a range officer for instruction to safe firearm. For Pistol Caliber Carbines and .22 Rimfire Rifles an empty chamber indicator (ECI) or safety flag is required as well as a case for transport.\nPlease stay tuned as we bring this event to SGC! DESCRIPTION:Our October 2026 Match will have a special flavor...  Ending our Saturday Season with a bang!  Special Incentives for using a .45 or a .40!  L10\, Limited\, SS\, and Open Guns all encouraged to shoot Major Power Factor and not be a wimp with puny 9's.  (Eligible for incentives with minor PF\, just bring a big bullet).  (All shooters welcome though\, of course).\nSGC's Monthly Pistol Match!\n5 squads\, 5 bays\, 5 Stages\, including 1 Classifier. DESCRIPTION:Mark your Calendar!  SGC will be hosting a 4 stage 3gun match!  Arrive by 8:15am for an 8:30am safety brief and a 9am hammerdown event.  4 stages\, 4 squads\, more info to come!\nDOOR PRIZES!!!!!\nWe will be using the IWI 2024 Rules dated 3/1/24 or newer.  2 Gun and 2x4 Open are divisions that will NOT be included in this event.  (if you really only want to do 2 gun and skip the shotgun portion of two of the stages\, email the match director).  Rules hosted on our website:  http://www.salisburygunclub.com/practical-shooting.html\nThe Gun Divisions are:  OPEN\, TAC SCOPE\, TAC LIMITED\, MODIFIED\, & SGC'S ADDITIONS OF HEAVY METAL\, PISTOLERO (PCC) & RIMFIRE RAMBO.  (Heavy\, PCC\, and RR are essentially different types of OPEN)\nEntry Fee $50.  Bring cash for 50/50 and Lewis Class.\nBring 90 pistol rounds\, 90 rifle rounds\, and 50 shotgun birdshot rounds.  MAX Birdshot size is 7.5's.  (7.5s\, 8s\, or 9s acceptable).  Rifle Ammo must be BALL/FMJ AMMO ONLY.  NO GREEN TIP\, NONMAGNETIC\, NO STEEL CORE.  NO SLUGS\, NO BUCKSHOT.\nWhat division am I in?  Process to determine:  If you use an intermediate cartridge for rifle (5.56N or .223) you are in TAC\, Modified\, or Open.  If you use box mags or speedloader 'sticks' with your shotgun\, you're in open.  If your shotgun has a red dot sight\, you're in OPEN or MODIFIED.  Scope divisions allow 1 magnified optic (or Dot with magnifier).  LIMITED is one non-magnified optic.  If your Pistol has a red dot\, You're in OPEN or MODIFIED or SGC HEAVY\, SGC PCC\, or SGC Rimfire Rambo.
