SUMMARY:Richmond New Competitor Class September 12-2026
DESCRIPTION:This is the New Handgun Competitor Class at Richmond Rod & Gun Club. This is not a competition and is REQUIRED to compete on the Richmond Action Range for action matches (USPSA\, PCSL\, GPA) or Saturday Practice. This course will not teach you how to use a firearm so please be familiar and competent with your pistol and equipment.\nEquipment needed:\n- Handgun\n- 3 magazines minimum\n- 150 rounds of ammo (no steel jacketed ammo allowed)\n- Pistol holster (belt must go through belt loops)\n- Mag holsters\n- Eye & Ear protection\nPrice is $160\, with RRGC members refunded $40 upon completion of the class. Please note that refunds are available up to a week before your scheduled class date - any closer and it will be dependent on our ability to fill your spot.\nSAFETY UPDATE REGARDING SIG P320: The RRGC Board of Directors has implemented an immediate and total ban on the SIG Sauer P320 platform across all club property. This includes all variants such as the M17\, M18\, X5\, AXG\, and any aftermarket configurations (e.g.\, custom FCUs\, third-party frames). As of now\, P320s are completely prohibited anywhere on RRGC grounds - not just on the ranges\, but also in parking areas\, vehicles\, bags\, and all match or event spaces. The policy applies to all disciplines hosted at RRGC\, including: USPSA\, PCSL\, GPA\, Steel Challenge\, Night Matches\, Multigun\, as well as all practices\, classes\, and private events.\nREFUND POLICY\nDeadline: Withdrawal requests must be submitted via Practiscore by Thursday at 9:00 PM prior to the class.\nRequests made before the deadline will receive a refund minus processing fees.\nRefunds are processed on Monday after the class concludes.\nIf you are on the waitlist and do not get a spot in the class\, you will receive a full refund.\nA reminder email containing instructions where to go and what to bring will be sent a few days prior to your scheduled date. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Richmond Rod & Gun Club's Galactic Pistol Alliance (GPA) registration page.\nMatches are held the second Sunday of every other month and will feature six stages.\nRegistration check in starts at 8:00 AM\, with shooter's meeting and match to begin shortly after. If you cannot attend\, please withdraw as soon as possible.\nPlease read all of the following for information and commonly asked questions. GPA is designed to be easily understood\, and utilizes fundamentals from both IDPA and USPSA. Highlights include:\n- NO cover garments\n- NO tactical priority for targets in the open (If fault line is present\, slice the pie)\n- Uses 1/2 second scoring\n- Uses IDPA targets\n- A hit anywhere in the head box is a down zero\n- No power factor\n- 24 round stage maximum\n- One mandatory reload per stage is required\n- Reload any time and place after the first shot and before the last\n- Drop mags anytime with NO PE\n- Mags may be loaded to full capacity/ no limit on number of mags you can carry\n- Targets may be required to be shot OTM (On the move)\n- Uses USPSA overlays for scoring\n- Ported barrels and compensators ok (included in barrel length)\n- USPSA and IDPA rigs ok (no magnets for primary retention)\n- Eight shot revolvers are legal\n- NO Serpa style holsters allowed.\nDivisions are based on barrel length and are as follows:\nDIVISIONS\n** No magazine capacity unless otherwise stated.\n- FSO-Full Size Optic (barrel between 4.1"-5.4")**\n- FSI- Full Size Irons (barrel between 4.1"-5.4")\n- CPO-Compact Pistol Optic ( barrel 4.1" or less)\n- CPI-Compact Pistol Irons (barrel 4.1" or less)\n- LCI-Limited Capacity Pistol\, Iron sights. Barrel length 5.4" inches or less and all loading devices limited to 10 rounds or less\n- LCO- Limited Capacity Pistol\, Optic. Barrel length 5.4" or less. Any pistol using all loading devices to limited to ten or fewer rounds.\n- Revolver- Any barrel length\, maximum 8 round capacity\, iron sights only\n** Optics must be slide mounted. \nWhile there is no current classification system for PCC\, you are welcome to shoot the match. Your scores will be uploaded to Practiscore as usual.\nREGISTRATION\nPlease put GPA before your member number in the following format: GPAXXXXX\nGPA offers a FREE trial membership for one year. SUMMARY:2026 California Action Shotgun Challenge (CASC) — World Shoot Warm-Up
DESCRIPTION:CASC is back!\nThis is the 11th annual California Action Shotgun Challenge. It is similar to other multigun matches but focuses on one platform\, the scattergun.\nWe will be firing at aerial clays\, static clays\, steel plates\, and poppers….and maybe a spinner or two.\nMaximum required ammo: Birdshot: 200\nBuckshot: 16\nSlugs: 8\nWe will email out a firm number once stages have been designed.\nBirdshot must be LEAD only (no steel shot)\, #8\, #7 1/2\, or #6\nWe are aiming for 7 fun\, easy to break down stages on Sunday.
