DESCRIPTION:The 20th Annual Bay Area Rifle Championship is a premier\, rifle-only\, two-day match held at the Richmond Rod and Gun Club in Richmond\, California. The match will feature 12 IPSC-style stages\, consisting of 6 short courses\, 4 medium courses\, and 2 long courses. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Richmond Friday Night Steel Challenge Match registration page!\nIn 2026\, we will shoot 4 of the 8 official SCSA Steel Challenge stages each match!  We will have 4 squads.\n*** IMPORTANT RRGC SIG SAUER P320 POLICY: Effective immediately\, the SIG Sauer P320 platform and all its variants are banned from RRGC property until further notice. This policy applies this match\, and to all disciplines hosted at the club\, including USPSA\, PCSL\, IDPA\, Steel Challenge\, and Multigun. ***\nSHOOTER ELIGIBILITY\nAll shooters must meet one of the following criteria:\nHave a USPSA or SCSA classification\nCompleted an Intro to Competition class at:\nRRGC\, Sac Valley\, Targetmasters\, Linden\, DAP\, Livermore\, Manzano or equivalent\nReceive approval from the Match Director (based on safe match history)\nVerification is required.\nEmail documentation to: uspsa@richmondrodandgun.com\nFailure to verify may result in match removal or future bans.\n*If you are unclassified in SCSA we request you register ONLY 1 GUN/DIVISION.*\nThis is to keep the match moving safely and smoothly for new and experienced shooters alike. SUMMARY:Richmond New Competitor Class August 8-2026
DESCRIPTION:This is the New Handgun Competitor Class at Richmond Rod & Gun Club. This is not a competition and is REQUIRED to compete on the Richmond Action Range for action matches (USPSA\, PCSL\, IDPA) or Saturday Practice. This course will not teach you how to use a firearm so please be familiar and competent with your pistol and equipment.\nEquipment needed:\n- Handgun\n- 3 magazines minimum\n- 150 rounds of ammo (no steel jacketed ammo allowed)\n- Pistol holster (belt must go through belt loops)\n- Mag holsters\n- Eye & Ear protection\nPrice is $160\, with RRGC members refunded $40 upon completion of the class. Please note that refunds are available up to a week before your scheduled class date - any closer and it will be dependent on our ability to fill your spot.\nSAFETY UPDATE REGARDING SIG P320: The RRGC Board of Directors has implemented an immediate and total ban on the SIG Sauer P320 platform across all club property. This includes all variants such as the M17\, M18\, X5\, AXG\, and any aftermarket configurations (e.g.\, custom FCUs\, third-party frames). As of now\, P320s are completely prohibited anywhere on RRGC grounds - not just on the ranges\, but also in parking areas\, vehicles\, bags\, and all match or event spaces. The policy applies to all disciplines hosted at RRGC\, including: USPSA\, PCSL\, IDPA\, Steel Challenge\, Night Matches\, Multigun\, as well as all practices\, classes\, and private events.\nREFUND POLICY\nDeadline: Withdrawal requests must be submitted via Practiscore by Thursday at 9:00 PM prior to the class.\nRequests made before the deadline will receive a refund minus processing fees.\nRefunds are processed on Monday after the class concludes.\nIf you are on the waitlist and do not get a spot in the class\, you will receive a full refund.\nA reminder email containing instructions where to go and what to bring will be sent a few days prior to your scheduled date.
