SUMMARY:1st Annual ALECA Shoot Out
DESCRIPTION:This is the first ever K9 match hosted through the Arizona Law Enforcement Canine Association ALECA. The purpose of this event is to emphasize the importance of continuing to grow in every facet of the profession.\nAs one mentor put it\, “You are a cop first\, dog handler second.” This match is built around that mindset\, providing a structured\, performance based environment for handlers to sharpen their individual shooting skills\, composure\, and decision making under time and pressure.\nThe match will consist of 5 stages designed to challenge and develop practical shooting performance in a competitive but supportive setting.\nBBQ will be provided.\nThere will be randomly drawn prizes including a Daniel Defense PCC and handguns\, along with additional sponsor giveaways.\nThis is the beginning of what we aim to grow into an annual event that brings K9 handlers together from across Arizona to build well rounded officers through performance based training and competition.
