DESCRIPTION:SIG SAUER Academy will be hosting monthly new competitor matches from 6-9pm.\nThis event is planned for 2-3 Stages.\n***If you’re approved from the waitlist\, please pay the match fee within 24 hours. Unpaid competitors will be removed after 24 hours and the next competitor from the waitlist will be approved.***\nThe intent of this event is to provide first time competitors with a stress free\, friendly environment. Where they can learn about competitive shooting through practical application. Shooters will be “coached\,” by the competition staff on rules\, walk throughs and general stage execution.\nCompetitors must bring a suitable firearm\, belt mounted holster they feel comfortable drawing from\, enough magazines to carry 30 rounds\, and 100 rounds of ammunition. It’s recommended that competitors bring magazine pouches but you’re also welcome to put spare magazines in your pockets if you don’t have magazine pouches. No pocket\, ankle\, or small of the back\, fanny pack\, or off-body holsters. IF you registered for the new competitor 2-gun match\, please also bring a serviceable semi-automatic rifle with a minimum of two magazines. Please ensure said rifle is brought into the facility in a case or bag and remains in the bag until we enter the range. Chamber flags are encouraged but not required.\nAll Competitors are expected to demonstrate safe weapons handling at all time. To include drawing from the holster\, safely loading/ unloading firearms\, shooting while moving etc. Failure to do so will result in removal from the match at the discretion of the staff.\nCompetitor check in will begin at 5:30pm at the SEC range counter\, safety brief location will be announced there and will start at 6:00pm.\nAll competitors and visitors entering the SEC ranges must complete an electronic waiver annually. Waivers can be completed at the SEC range desk.\nAll firearms shall be unloaded and cased upon entering the facility. Once checked-in and inside the shooting bays\, the Range Officers will walk you through the process of gearing up with your firearm. This event will be a “COLD RANGE”. Do NOT gear up in any location other than on the range under the supervision of the competition staff.\n***All competitors 18 years of age or under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Competitors under 14 years of age are not permitted under any circumstance.***\nRefund Policy:\nFull refunds\, minus Stripe fees\, if a competitor requests to withdraw more than seven calendar days before the start date of the match. No refunds will be issued if a competitor requests to withdraw less than seven calendar days before the start date of the match.
