DESCRIPTION:Location:\n20500 Forest Woods Lane\nMontgomery\, TX 77356\nStonewall Builders is announcing a Long Gong 22LR match.\nThe schedule is as follows.\n1630- sign in $10 per shooter insurance fee. Cash or CC\n1630 verify zero sign in.\n1700-2000 match\,\nLong Gong is shot at 300 yards with 22LR from a bench. Bi-pods and bags are allowed.\nLong Gong Rules.\nWELCOME TO LONG GONG!!\nTHE GAME-This is a 300yd shooting challenge using rifles chambered in 22lr only. The object is\nto shoot the highest score possible.\nTHE TARGET- The targets are AR400 rimfire gongs\, an 8”\, a 6”\, and a 4” gong. Each\ngong has a value\, 1 point for the 8”\, 2 points for the 6”\, and 3 points for the 4” gong.\nTHE SETUP- From a bench rest (limited to bi-pods and bags\, no sleds) each shooter\, with 10\nrounds of ammunition begins by shooting for the 8” gong. The shooter has a 3-minute time\nlimit to complete their round\, the clock starts with their first shot.\nTHE ORDER- If the shooter hits the 8”\, they score 1 point and now can choose to advance to the\n6” gong or continue shooting for the 8” gong. If the shooter advances to the 6” gong and\nconnects\, that hit is worth 2 points\, and they now can choose to shoot for the 4” gong.\nEXAMPLE-(Dave shoots and hits the 8” gong\, scoring 1 point. Dave says he’s going to shoot for\nthe 6”\, he hits it scoring 2 more points. Dave says he’s going for the 4” gong\, shoots and misses\nscoring a zero\, and now must move back to the 6” gong. If Dave misses his shot on the 6”\, he\nwill score another zero and be forced to move back to the 8” gong. If Dave hits the 6” he’ll\nscore 2 points and again have the opportunity to shoot at the 4” gong.)\nTHE RULES-The shooter must tell the scorekeeper when they switch gongs. A hit only counts if\nit’s a solid gong hit\, chain hits do not count. If the shooter misses\, they must go back one gong.\nIf the shooter shoots the wrong gong\, it counts as a zero and the shooter must resume shooting\non the correct gong.\nTHE SCORE- The score is totaled after each shooter\, with a possible high score of 27 points\n(1+2+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3=27). A complete game has every shooter fire 5 complete sets for a\ntotal of 50 rounds of ammunition (1 full box). The highest possible score for a competition is\n135 points. In case of a the score\, the winner is determined by the shooter with the highest\nsingle round score.\nTHE COMPETITORS- The order of the shooters in the first set is determined by drawing\nnumbered chips\, and in each successive set the order of the shooters is determined by the\nscores\, with the lowest score shooting first. If two or more shooters have identical scores\,\nwhoever shot the score initially will shoot first in the following round. (If Tom shoots an 11\, and\nthen Dave also shoots an 11\, Tom will go before Dave in the following round.)\nTHE CHALLENGE- Hitting gongs at 300yds with a 22lr is challenging. Hitting them repeatedly\nunder changing conditions requires all the fundamentals used by the best long-distance\nshooters in the world. DESCRIPTION:Location:\n20500 Forest Woods Lane\nMontgomery\, TX 77356\nStonewall Builders is pleased to announce the Firearms and Faith event.\nWe will be shooting a steel match\nThe schedule is as follows.\n1030-1100 sign in. $10 per shooter insurance fee. Cash or CC\n1100-1130 safety briefing and Faith talk\n1130-1330 steel challenge\nWe welcome all levels of shooters. This is the perfect venue for a new shooters or a shooter who is interested in a new challenge. Junior shooters are welcome! We encourage families to shoot together! Experienced shooters will be on hand to help. A fun shooting challenge has been planned that will be achievable for the novice yet offer the experienced shooter a chance to go fast! There will be an orientation for anyone who has never shot or wants to familiarize themselves with the loaner firearms or zero.\nRegular sign in starts at 1030 with the mandatory safety briefing and a Faith talk by Guest speaker. First shots down range at 1130\nThe steel challenge will be run according to steel challenge rules found here. https://uspsa.org/viewer/2019_SCSA_Rulebook.pdf not required reading. We will recognize all division in 22LR and pistol calibers.\nInsurance cost is $10 per shooter. We will have rifles available in RFRO for anyone who needs one. 22 ammo is available for sale if needed. All targets are steel ranging from 10-40 yards with the smallest being 4” circles at 10 yards. Four stages will be shot with a total round count of 110 with no misses or makeup shots. Plan on enough rounds loaded for at least 40 rounds to be shot at a time. 5-10 round mags is best or at least 2-25 round mags. If you need mags reach out to me with what type you need.\nThis is a cold range. Do not bring any loaded guns (LTC excluded). Do not load any gun unless under the direction of a range officer (RO). Arrive with your firearm bagged please. Suppressors are welcome and encouraged! Chamber flags are required and available for guns not bagged.\nEye and ear protection are required in the shooting area. Please bring your own. We have loner sets and side plates for glasses available.\nSign up for the match is on Practiscore. It is a free account and you will be able to see scores and sign up for a squad.
