SUMMARY:PNTC 2026 September Mid-Atlantic 2 Gun Match Series Sat-or-Sun
DESCRIPTION:Please note; This link combines both Saturday and Sunday registrations.  Saturday (9/19) Squads will be 1-6.  Sunday (9/20) squads will be 7-12. Please squad according to the day you want to shoot!\n New for 2026! This is now a 6 match series! In order to accommodate schedules\, shooters can opt to shoot either Saturday or Sunday for each month it is offered.  Your best 4 matches will count toward the series. Only one match will be offered for the finale. TROPHYS AND PRIZES TO COME!!!\nPNTC 2 GUN:\nI HOPE YOU ARE FIRED UP!!!  This 2 Gun series emphasizes movement\, efficient transitions\, and real-world weapon handling under a tactical framework. Expect a mix of close-quarters engagements\, “jungle-runs”\, and shots up to 500 yards\, utilizing cover and varied shooting positions to simulate a high-readiness environment. Participants will be required to retain rifle throughout the courses of fire\, with either a two-point or single point sling.\nWhile the core concept of the match is the same - A few key changes with penalties\, such as the elimination of Charlie Hit penalty\, have been made to promote combat effective speed. An updated rule book\, will provide the shooter with the MD's philosophy and reasons for the key adjustments\, which will be available soon!  \nUpdate: Scores from first match in April have been dropped in this series\, due to technical issues. The issue has been fixed. The match will now count best of 3 out of 5 matches\, to be eligible for prizes after finale competitors MUST shoot AT LEAST 4 of the 6 matches. For those that compete in all 6 matches\, your best 4 matches will go toward your standing.  TO QUALIFY for PRIZES shooters MUST shoot in TACTICAL SCOPE division.\nARE YOU FIRED UP?!?! DESCRIPTION:Doors open for check-in at 8 am. Safety brief starts at 9 am.\nWelcome to the evolution of the defensive handgun match.  American Defender takes the defensive elements of IDPA and injects them with the high-octane speed and target density of USPSA. This isn’t just about standing behind a barricade – it’s about explosive movement\, aggressive target transitions\, and maintaining critical accuracy under the stress.   Utilizing a wide array of steel\, paper\, and moving targets\, this match offers something to challenge every level of shooter.\nFeaturing 5 stages of continuous action in a target rich environment here's what to expect:\n•	Dynamic Scenarios: Move through diverse stages featuring cover\, and multiple target arrays.\n•	Stages are timed and scored using a simple Time-plus format.\n•	Tactical Problem Solving: You’ll face "shoot/no-shoot" decisions\, shooting from cover and shoot on the move style engagements.\n•	Shoot what you carry without concealment restrictions. Use of an open-carry or out-of-waistband is required.\n•	No power factor\, or concealment garments required.\nThe simplified rules and straight-forward divisions make this a good match for those new to competition or those who simply want to add a new level to their training. Shooting under a timer brings new challenges\, and forces you work "under pressure". DESCRIPTION:This isn't just a race; it's a test of the "Combat Effective Speed" philosophy.\nThe Burner Series is designed to push the boundaries of both mechanical execution and cognitive processing.\nAlthough this is a single weapon system match primarily designed for Pistol and PCC\, it also includes a shotgun division! The added shotgun division is perfect for 3 Gunners who want to practice fast target transitions while avoiding heavy reloads.\n**Match Architecture:*** **9-Shot Max Per Stage:** Keeping the round count lean forces a focus on quality transitions and visual processing speed.\n* **Hybrid Targetry:** Steel targets will comprise most target sets\, utilizing selective paper targets to demand precision-under-pressure.  No C zone penalties. Deltas are down 1 second.\n* **Cognitive Friction:** Occasionally the use of Color-coded targets and no-shoot scenarios to ensure you aren't just shooting on "auto-pilot."\n* **Spectrum of Performance:** Stages range from pure "pedal-to-the-metal" layouts which is the primary focus\, to shooting from cover style scenarios where thinking is just as important as pulling the trigger.\nBecause this is primarily a Speed-Shoot style match - movement will often be limited but simple transitions of a few yards may be incorporated.\n"Identify.
