DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY squads (help with match setup).  The match setup starts at 0730 Saturday shooters are expected and required to help with setup.\nSUNDAY shooter meeting is at 0830.\nREFUND POLICY: Refunds will be provided (minus $2 admin fee) if you withdraw from the match in Practiscore\, on the Thursday before the match by 5 PM.\nMatch fee: $30 per registrant (SOAP members will receive their discount)\nMAGAZINES:  Required to meet division requirements per the USPSA rule book.  Standard capacity magazines are allowed until legal issues are resolved.\nSHOOTER PREREQUISITES:  All shooters are required to meet minimum requirements for safe participation.

SUMMARY:SVSS September 20 2026 Steel Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Steel shooting is a sport in which competitors are required to combine speed and accuracy to successfully complete the match. SVSS uses all 8 of the official steel challenge stages. All the stages are 5 strings of 5 shots each\, exept "Outer Limits" which is four strings\, requiring the shooter to engage steel targets from 7 to 35 yards. The targets vary in size from 10"\, to 12" round targets and 18" x 24" rectangles.  Sometimes a couple of stages are replaced with " outlaw" stages. There is no power factor like in USPSA\, IDPA\, and ICORE matches\, and the targets do not fall. Anyone who is registered after this date\, including the waitlist\, will not receive a shirt.\nMATCH FEE:  $60\nFORMAT:  This is run and gun\, simple scoring (1-alpha hit\, or 2 anywhere in the scoring zone). All safety practices will follow USPSA rules.\nRECOGNIZED DIVISIONS:  PCC\, Open\, Carry Optics\, Limited Optics per appendix in USPSA rule book.\nPOWER FACTOR:  Not applicable.\nAWARDS will be given for 1st and 2nd place in each division (must have at least 5 division shooters for recognition).\nGREEN DOTS:  These are fine.\nIRON SIGHTS SHOOTERS WELCOMED?\nYou can shoot the 'No red dot' (NRD) division. LEO / MIL / Front Sight / Thunder Ranch\, etc. do not meet this requirement.
