SUMMARY:CFRPC PCSL Pistol 1-GUN Match - May
DESCRIPTION:***NOTICE***\nAs of 08/05/2025\, CFRPC will no longer allow the SIG SAUER P320 pistol\, in all of its variants\, to be used on the premises of CFRPC\, effective immediately. Other SIG SAUER platforms continue to be welcome at CFRPC.\nMATCH FEES:\n- CFRPC member: $10\n- Non-member: $20\n8:15am…Check-in opens.\n8:45am…Check-in closes (all no-show spots are forfeit).\n8:45am…Safety Brief (Safety brief attendance is MANDATORY for all participants and visitors)\n9:00am…Shooting begins after the MANDATORY safety briefing.\nREMEMBER: YOU MUST STILL COME INTO THE SIGN-IN TRAILER TO COMPLETE YOUR MATCH REGISTRATION ON THE DAY OF THE MATCH!\nEveryone\, including spectators\, must show their valid CFRPC Membership Badge or their non-member Extended Release and Waiver Card during the morning Check-in. If you have neither\, you must complete and execute a release as soon as you arrive on property. (The extended release and waiver form is available in the check-in trailer\, or you can print it out and bring it with you from https://cfrpc.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/CFRPC_Extended_Release_2025-26_RSF-2-1.pdf\nPCSL PISTOL (1GUN) match Trial\nInstead of Zombie Match this March\, we are trying a PCSL style 1gun (Pistol or PCC\, NOT BOTH!) match. One (1) gun only.\nIt has also been moved to 3/22 due to personal scheduling conflicts.\nPCSL is a relatively new action shooting league that is steadily growing. It is based on USPSA but has a more challenging target\, streamlined divisions\, and a simpler more free-style stage design ruleset.\nThe rule book is here\, its pretty similar to USPSA but simpler: \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\nNOTE: A lot of rules pertain to carbine\, shotgun\, and 2/3-gun issues such as: slinging\, shotguns\, abandoning\, pre-loading\, showing clear on clock(DMT) etc. This can all be skipped as this is a pistol OR PCC 1-gun match.\nHere is the cliff notes:\nSafety Rules\n* very similar to USPSA\, certain "minor" infractions are stage-DQs (14.x) instead of match-DQs (15.x)\, however all the big no-no's (180\, AD\, flagging\, dropping loaded gun\,\n* 5.x the basic RSO commands are identical to USPSA for one-gun events.\n* no high muzzle with loaded chamber reloads is still a club rule. first is a warning (13.x strike)\n* ALL OTHER CLUB SPECIFIC RULES APPLY!\n* 1.2 and 1.3 --> normal cold range gun handling and always-completely-unloaded-guns rules\, however we have safe tables on the LAR where competitors may handle UNLOADED guns with no ammo present on the safe-table\, or anything sat upon the safe table shall contain no ammo as well. All guns handled at the safe table must be pointed directly ahead at the berm. If your intended competition firearm is loaded when you arrive\, you'll need to inform the MD and be directed to a bay to clear it\, you may NOT do it on your own anywhere else on CFRPC property unless you are a member\, correctly signed in\, and with the correct shooting privileges\, and obeying all CFRPC rules.\n* 1.7 --> describes function-fire and practice areas which can be provided in PCSL however is generally NOT ALLOWED at our range. Again\, zero gun handling/shooting outside of a safe table\, or under the command of an RSO: UNLESS you are a CFRPC member with the correct shooting privileges (or a properly-signed-in guest of one)\, and have signed in and complied with all CFRPC rules; including\, in particular on the LAR: LAR shooting endorsement\, informed the RSO on duty\, are on an empty bay\, and have informed and received approval of all Match Directors of any active match going on or any match being setup). There will be no firearm "preloading areas" (7.2)\n* 1.5 --> ECIs (chamber flags) are optional in PCSL\, but can be required by the club... as such they ARE required at CFRPC whether bagged or not\, handling of PCC's similar to USPSA ().\n* 1.6 --> much like our LAR rules\, eye protection is REQUIRE at all times\, and hearing protection on active shooting bays.\nEquipment:\n* 2.4.2 --> unlike USPSA\, PCC's can have braces.\n* 2.1 --> holster and belt\, similar to USPSA\, must cover trigger guard completely\, but leg strap allowed\, 12 o clock carry allowed.\n* 2.6.2 --> Hammer fired handguns may start hammer down (fully decocked is not specifically required) and/or safety applied\, but may not be holstered condition 0 (14.3). Striker fired guns do not require a manual safety if they have an internal safety mechanism or trigger safety. *Note our club still does NOT allow the Sig P320 family and all its variants.\n* 2.7 --> no burst fire / FRT / bump firing / bump stocks (both PCSL and CFRPC club rule)\n* 2.8 --> 3.x ammo: 9mm minimum caliber\, .45 max per divisions\, 1600 fps max\, no rifle calibers (including 5.7x28 and similar).\n* 4.2 --> we use standard fixed squadding\, and the squad is expected to help reset (4.2.2) and breakdown the last stage.\n* Although 7.4 appears to allow "hot re-holstering on the clock"\, for now this is not allowed and it can never be mandatory per 9.11.15 (anyway this is normally an issue for a multi-gun match\, we are ONE gun match).\n* 6.1 --> generally no coaching\, however new or inexperienced shooters can be coached (6.3).\nWALLs:\n* 9.1 --> In PCSL\, 69" walls go infinitely up and down (i.e. any normal club-used wall\, whether solid or mesh\, sometimes we install walls upside down those will be "under 69 inches" and can be shot over.\n* 9.2 --> Walls clearly intended to be connected at common joints\, corners\, or bases that happen to have gaps: those gaps may NOT be used.\n* 9.4 --> may appear to allow to count shots through wall supports\, however our walls are built and intended to be "all field" ie "all hard cover". Any full diameter hit through any piece of wall or wall support does not score if it went on to hit a target.\n* 7.9 --> walls may not be used to brace / support your firearm or body\, or push against it to gain a better shooting angle\nDivisions (3.11)\nTHREE Core divisions:\n3.11 COMPetition: Like USPSA open (comps\, frame mounted dots)\, but no power factor (sub-minor gets bumped to open 4.6.3)\, 30+1 magazine load to instead of length limit. No major PF in PCSL.\n3.12 PRACtical: Like USPSA LO+CO\, slide ride dot\, 125PF\, 20+1 magazine load to instead of length limit. No comps or porting.\n3.13 PCC: like uspsa PCC\, but braced pistols allowed\, 125PF\, no coupled mags\nAdditional recognized Divisions\n3.14 Practical Irons: same as Practical but no dot or lasers.\n3.15 Actual Carry Pistol: see the rule book 3.15 on this division has mor extensive rules\, but the spirit is in the name.\n3.16 Ten Round Irons: similar to uspsa single stack\nTargets & Scoring (10.x-11.x)\n* same as USPSA hit factor (11.2)\, but MINOR scoring only (Alpha=5\, Charlie=3\, Delta=1\, Tango=10\, Mike=-10).\n* Hit non threat = -10 each max -20 per non threat\n* 12.x: Procedurals: similar to USPSA -10 each Failure to Engage (FTSA)\, procedural\, foot fault\, etc.)\n* Normal USPSA rules on Shots on the perf line (in the shooters favor)\, overlapping targets (score both)\n* brown paper (10.2.2) or blue steel (10.6.1) = scoring target\, RED = no-shoot (10.3\, 10.8)\, black = hard cover\n* T-zone is "ten points": one hit in T is scored as if it was two alpha hits.\n* 11.5 unlike USPSA: pass-throughs count if targets are on different "planes" AND if no full diameter hard cover is hit on the way. Targets are on the same plane if they are paper targets attached directly to each other and/or share sticks and score "USPSA" normal.
